      We go down exhaling and its healthy if possible to hold the breath for sometime. We come back inhaling and then normal breathing

    I am patient of High B. P. Taking medicine the B. P. is normal can I do sarbangasana ?

      Namaste Mousumiji, Patients with high BP should avoid inverted positions such as Sarvangasana. They should practice more restorative poses and gentle stretches. Relaxation is also very important for cardiac health.

      Asana or pranayama (breathing exercises) practise should be done on empty stomach. It is essential to be mindful to practise 2hrs after eating.
      Combination of 3 is suggested and doing each asana 2- 3 times is very effective Hope this helps.

    Can a person with cervical or backache problem do these asanas? Grandma please let me know if the back pain of anesthesia injection given at the time of delivery is a life long pain. If not then please make a video to cure it.

      Asana or pranayama (breathing exercises) practise should be done on empty stomach. It is essential to be mindful to practise 2hrs after eating. Reading can be done any time of the day you like .Hope this helps.

    Hi, Dr. Hansaji, is all these yoga positions are safe to do during menstrual period? Please let us know if these are all safe especially the number 2 which is your body is upside down in your period.

      No, pls dont practice sarvangasana in your periods.

      Deep bending, stretching etc should be avoided during periods. Only light movements are okay when menstruation is not too heavy. Take care accordingly
