This is absolutely one of my favorite videos! It's definitely worth getting up early and traveling to see this beautiful sunrise. Loving the drone shots!
I love this trek, but didn't go all the way to the top, went to half-way, where the vehicles stop. That was high enough for me :-) Having to be picked up at either 1:30am - 2am (from my hotel in Seminiyak) to be driven to the area where Mount Batur is, being around a 2 hour drive. This somewhat ruined sleeping pattern for the next day or two. Hence I would recommend doing this trek closer to the end of your time at Bali or at the very beginning when it won't affect you as much.
Just make sure that u climbing on the right season or month, in more cold season like rain season, maybe u will just cant see anything cz many cloud or smoke, but yeah just ask someone who know first get more information is better

Nick is too and he did fine! The hike itself you don't see any elevation but once you get to the top. There are so many people hiking it that i bet you won't even think about your fear of heights are more worried about getting away from all the people 😂
Dude if you think Batur is difficult then you are really unfit. I would recommend Batur for those who are not at all fit and not experienced hikers. You must fall in that category so well done for hiking Batur. For those viewing this video and viewing the comments, if anyone is fit and an experienced hiker like myself, dont bother with Batur. It's too short and easy. Not very rewarding at all. If you want the view of Lake Batur, go hike Gunung Abang on the other side of the lake. Balis 3rd highest and much more rewarding and a better view.
😂😂😂 It wasn't that difficult as far the trail but we were going very fast and didn't take any breaks so we could get to the top before the mass amount of people got there but that is impossible. Also we didn't know what to expect before hiking it and didn't have the proper shoes which we recommend. Also, you are 100% wrong about not being rewarding. If you are lucky and get a great sunrise, it is one of the best sunrises I have ever seen. But we have been told if it is too cloudy than you can't see much , then I can understand it might not be worth it. Thanks for your "expert" advice from an experienced hiker 😂

I am terribly afraid of heights. Im not concerned with my fitness its my fear of heights. Is it super scary to hike?
