I am weirdly excited that Hazezon got a retrain. Granted, I haven't gotten a copy yet, but I am fond of the original. (I don't have a real one, but I have a proxy that works well enough for casual play.)
Deck is looking good, personally i went the flavor route, since 'brave the sands' and 'secure the wastes' are some of my all time favourite cards in terms of aesthetics so i'm so happy to have this commander leading my deck that unironically plays 'sandstorm'.
@@pietjepuk7865 Desert nomads was a bit out of the price range, but the full art amonkhet lands are a great idea, i just mostly have alters for my lands
i’ve only played commander a couple times and with precons at that, but when this card got spoiled i got super excited about the idea of building a deck around it. really great mix of flavor and fun mechanics, might have to make the budget version myself lol luckily i have the zendikar naya landfall precon from a few years back too!
Edited: Some real spicy cards here, I like the logic on the Ancient Greenwarden, nice idea. And you reminded me on parallel lives, currently making a chatterfang deck and there is token overlap there. Also that token draw engine (idol of oblivion), Mhmmm, real nice!
The answer is yes, obviously. Will definitely be contacting you on Discord later for that sleeve design. I'm considering putting Valakut Exploration in mine because I just love it, and will probably put Zuran Orb, so you can at least always do something with your deserts if you miss a land drop. Edit: Exploration, not Awakening
There are some ways to go infinite with the sunscorched desert. This commander is an A to S tier commander if you use the right combination of cards in your deck.
Oh man mine is so much meaner.. land destruction and a couple Infinite combos to win. Basically I wanna win by having people concede though. Still, We play a lot of the same cards. I think I may add a few from your list ! Cool video man!
Bazaar Trader gets it done for 2. At first I thought worrying about landwalk for a 3/3 commander was a dead end, but after seeing all the team buffs and skyclave pick axe work, I realized it was easy to give him at least +8/+8 most turns. Swapping in 1 card as contingency against other players with a ton of beaters on board seemed worth it.
Is Aura Shards better here than Aura Fracture? Since every time Hazezon reanimates a land, you get TWO triggers of "You may destroy target artifact or enchantment" I get that Aura Fracture is a sac outlet, but the deserts tend to have sac outlets or cycling already printed, so Aura Shards just seems stronger at 3 MV.
Aura Shards would definitely be better for artifact/enchantment destruction, but the Aura Fracture really mostly is here for a cost free sac outlet for deserts.

Dire strain rampage will be fantastic in this deck. Artifact, enchantment and land hate plus you can use it for ramp and desert synergy etc

I also went with the flavor route, Swirling Sandstorm, Desert nomads etc. Even went as far as getting the Amonkhet full art basics :)

I would add a worldshaper 100%, and maybe a high market to go alongside it; pretty easy to find with your land tutors.

I would imagine springbloom, crop rotation, andor weathering wayfarer might be dece here for getting specific lands into rotation or deserts in gy
