My daughter passed recently and loved the and song. She kept saying all her ex- husband just to say like you just a simple thank you would have been nice for all she done for him. Now I understand, where she was coming from since I have listened to the lyrics.
I just lost my father in june 2022.I didn't saw him for almost 12-13 years. we didn't have a good relation because of his alcoolism. He never saw my 2 kids.And now i'm here listening to this song and crying out loud. I'm sorry dad.

Gil Renard (Robert DeNiro) is fired from his knife job for poor work performance. He lost his parental visits with his son, he suddenly had nothing to lose, and turned his focus on watching his favorite team. I think because it's a Psychological Thriller, Terence Trent D'arby isn't going to receive the credit. I definitely like the harmony in the Hans Zimmer scores.
It's not often that a song at the end of a movie can raise said movie from average to above average and memorable but this song did just that. It made deniro's character relatable and understandable and it was heart breaking seeing the little league picture. How many of us had a shining moment early in life and were never able to capture that again. I'm getting emotional thinking about it. Anyway, beautiful song. And like others said, very hard to find. Is not on Amazon music. You have to buy the cd. Peace.
