Aiden is basically a tech-savvy version of John Wick. He also knows how to psychologically manipulate people, Whitelight's video on this game explains it better. Aiden is such an underrated character, he made Watch Dogs imo. It's sad seeing Watch Dogs 2's main characters consisting of a group of teenagers screaming "system bad". I mean, just compare the death of Clara to the death of Horatio. Clara's death was hard hitting, because as Aiden said himself, "she's the closest I have to a friend right now". The only person who was there for Aiden despite all the destruction he caused. Meanwhile in Watch Dogs 2, Marcus is the new guy in the group, has no connection to anyone and the only time we actually see Horatio is when we infiltrate Nudle, literally the mission before his death. When he died, it didn't advance the plot, it was only a ploy to introduce the gangs into the story, it was filler. Don't get me wrong, Watch Dogs 2 is still a great game, it added a lot of new features that made gameplay a lot more fun, it's themes and missions were way more impressive (like the giant Blume Serverroom, or the fact you infiltrate the fucking FBI) and it made the world much more lively. But the cold atmosphere of the original and the much deeper characters makes me revisit the first game much more than the second. Watch Dogs was way too overhated, and it definitely didn't deserve the treatment it got. And now that it went down this futuristic path, Watch Dogs 3 is going to have the exact same issue, as it'll release close to Cyberpunk 2077, which is way more dedicated to the future setting. Watch Dogs 1 will always be one of my favorite games.

This music makes it feel like Aiden is unstoppable and he is at the height of his power. When he kills Lucky Quinn the final soothing part of this track allows him to sit back and reflect on the fact HE WON.
1:58 You can hear Lucky Quinn's heartbeat until his final death, when the song ends with a flatline. The music has such a high stand in this game. It basically tells the story.

I love how you can hear the electric guitar pulsing like a heartbeat until the end, when it slows down until it finally fades into a flatline. Quinn's theme is counting down the seconds he has left to live.

In watch dogs 2 we all had that mission where we help aiden escape prison. Hopefully in watch dogs 3 he makes a return as the main character again or returns to help the new protagonist like T bone did when he came halfway through the story to help Marcus and dedsec
This is why i love Watch Dogs 1. The dark tone, the music, everything about it is so well made, and honestly is just better than the 2nd, the second one is more fun but watch dogs 1 has better gameplay and story.

sorry for the 1 year late reply lol - but now that you mentioned it, the "bosses" in watchdogs isn't "boss fight" like, even Iraq, he doesn't have a grand opening, tanky armour, heavy weapons, he is just him, when you kill him, he is like any other npc, just one shot, everyone is the same, so are you Everything in watchdogs doesn't seem out of place, stuff dont just have stupid obvious exploitable weak spot, everything is practical and make sense in a way, there are lucky coincidence but it still retain that cool "realistic" side to it But even though I love that "realistic" side of it; it does seem very anti-climatic without a grand bossfight

1:10 the way that the synth of the song begins to sway in an up and down kind of pitch just really gives off the impression that time is running out, and the song ending in a flatline representing Quinn's death.
