    It’s getting old other players getting scapegoated while Embiid remains immune to criticism. We’re all aware Harden isn’t a great playoff performer, but Embiid is just as bad as him, I’d argue worse than him. His decline between regular season to post season numbers is greater, he’s never made a conference finals and only 7 players in post season history average more turnovers per 100 dribbles. Countless series he’s not turned up and it’s always someone else’s fault.

    • @Ghostkilla773

    • @johnboy1760
      @johnboy1760 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ghostkilla773 First off, fans on the internet are not the same as the NBA media, who spin the narratives. My negative assessment of Joel’s run is meaningless. Former coaches and every pundit under the sun on a televised platform blaming one player is another matter. Second of all, harden won 2 games, embiid did nothing.
      Embiid was ineffective all playoffs and no, harden wasn’t significantly worse, he was equally poor. But he is open to criticism while Embiid in the eyes of the networks remains immune.
      This isn’t a unique phenomenon either. The year Jimmy was traded, where Kawhi hit “the luckiest shot ever” I can make the argument embiid was their 3rd or maybe 4th best player. Butler was their star, while embiid averaged 17 points on sub 40% shooting with 4 turnovers a game. No one talks about that. They blindly say, Simmons was the early issue, now it’s harden. No…there have been plenty of series where HE has been the choker.
      He’s all time bad at ball handling, only 7 players averaging more turnovers per 100 dribbles.
      And he averages 22 points on 39% shooting in elimination games. He’s a choker but only Harden seems to get tarred with that brush,

    I’ve said this for the past 6-7 years. James hardens style of play is not winning a championship. He’s too ball dominant and over dribbles, doesn’t know how to play off the ball and isn’t a good perimeter defender. That’s not winning basketball. Kobe even said it himself. Perk was one of the main one’s talking about harden and Embiid being a such a dominant dynamic duo when harden first got to Philly. I knew this wasn’t gonna amount to a ring.

    Why are they defending Doc rivers???? He said James harden doesnt pass the ball... He averages 8 assist in the Celtics series and lead the league in assist! Embiid got hurt and James had to drop 40!!!! Embiid came back and offensively dropped the ball and for some reason its on James Harden to both score and pass the ball more??? Jay said "this brings up James Harden's commitment"... Does he not remember James harden took a 15 MILLION paycut to the sixers could get the help they need. Nobody else took a paycut!
    Doc rivers has said lob city was never going to win a ring, but will rave about his coaching success if its something like DeAndre Jordan becoming all defense. He threw the blame on Ben simmons when it should have been a home run question and destroyed Ben's confidence and trust. He is now throwing harden under the bus... He is apparently a player's coach but I dont see it. If Perk wasnt on the 08 celtics Im sure he would be saying Doc and Harden are to blame.

  • @jycutube
    @jycutube ปีที่แล้ว

    they say all that shade on Harden, but how did Sixxers win Celtics without Embiid?
    they played the Houston Harden game, NOT the Doc Rivers plays which were pretty garbage tbh
    Doc has dropped every big 7 game series in every team now...
    let's say Game 6 LeBron was an anomaly...
    he blew it with Lob City Clippers, he blew it with an even better team after... and tbh Harden ran all the plays Doc wanted and he didn't play selfish iso ball which he clearly could've when Embiid came back....
    so honestly it wasn't James Harden's fault

    I guess what Perk was saying is that Ja needs to go to Miami so that he can leave most, if not all, of his crew behind. If you need guidance, structure, and discipline, you go to Miami. But I'm not sure if Miami has the pieces to trade for Ja. Because this is different from the Beal and Lillard situation. Portland will probably do Lillard a favor, and the Wizards want to Beal off the books. Memphis wants to keep Ja, I think.
