Absolutely LOVE this die! Just ordered it and can't wait to use it. Thanks so much for the explanation of how to use it - very easy to understand and appreciate the close-ups and still shots so I could see the details.

What a great die set. And, I saw your Halloween card using the pop-up workings from this set as well. Definitely a die set that can be utilized in many styles. Additionally, I love that you use the Lineco Neutral Ph Adhesive. I've been using it for a few years, and it's the best. I buy it in the 32 oz bottle, and refill dispenser bottles. I haven't tried the fine applicator bottle, but seeing you use the glue with it is encouraging, and I will invest in one soon. I wasn't sure the glue would flow well enough. Thanks, Karen!

What weight cardstock do you recommend for the tree. Thank you.

    What weight cardstock is used?

It’s absolutely stunning, but I have two assembled trees that are coming off their base. I’ve even tried gluing the tabs, but they don’t stay in place. I really need some advice please 🙏

Liana, cut a thin strip of cardstock to basically seal those tabs closed on the base. Slide the thin strip of cardstock through the holes and glue the strip to the base once the tree is in place. Sorry you're having that issue - it can happen if the tabs on the base are weakened - either from folding or from a catch point that pulled on the tree. Hope this helps.

Hi Karen, I so appreciate your pop up dies. I probably have most all of them! But I do have to say - those pop up die for the tree trunk (and for the flower pot) bothers me that they cut holes into the base. Why couldn't the tree trunk (or the flower pot/box) have tabs to attach to the base?! Then we don't have to cover the holes in the base! What do you think??

Hi Kimmy. Good question! When I designed dies for Sizzix and Stampin' Up! I did have Christmas trees with tabs attached to the trunk instead of tabs that are cut directly into the card. But here's the thing - small tabs like that end up being very adhesive-sensitive, both for strength and placement. If you don't get the adhesive right up to the fold, your tree/flower pot won't open all the way. I ended up teaching people to always staple or add brads through those small tabs so they wouldn't pop up off the card. How lousy to send someone an awesome pop-up card to have them open it and the tree is just lying on the ground because the base tabs came unstuck. If you add a staple or brad you still have to cover the back, so I switched to tabs that are cut right into the card. It also eliminates another common problem that people used to have - not lining up their base tabs properly in the fold and then having the paper bunch up in the fold and (you guessed it) come unstuck. The cut tabs keep the center fold clean - no bunched paper. You might try just weaving a piece of ribbon through the holes and tying a bow - saves you having to cover them if you treat them as a decor feature. Hope this helps!
