    Someone may have already said this....not sure! As for the print out for needle inventory, I decided to print it out and use it as a wish list! And gave it to friends and family! So they all know what I don't have and need!

    Once again the content of the episode was great. I loved seeing how good some of the downloaded labels could look with just a little color or cardstock. I look forward to notching up the look of my gift giving.

    Amazing - thank you so much! I prefer the printed pages for knitting journals. The thought of trying to go thru all my needles. hooks and yarn is frightening!! Great episode of freebies. I had to chuckle because I just found the gift tags/care instructions and handmade with love tags this past weekend and used them for a baby shower gift! I like the idea of the project pages because I have a knitting journal much like the notebook you shared and although useful it is a bit sloppy 😒. So I think I’m going to have to upgrade to a nice binder 😁

    Hello again!! I enjoyed seeing all of your wonderful ideas for wrapping and keeping track of hand made items. I wish I had started a book of all the things I have made in my life. There weren't computers then so I would have to do it all by hand which is still the way I seem to do it lol! Recently I put together a package to a couple who were getting married and what I did was knit five dishcloths and found an adorable scrubber to give them. I can draw so I made my own tags and drew my own message on them and gave them one of my hand drawn cards, which they always love. I have spent a lifetime making things for friends and family. I wish I had kept a journal. I plan on looking at all of your links and see if I can use some for this Christmas. Thank you so much for all the great ideas you found. Your episodes are always enjoyable and fun to watch!

    I've actually seen the gift tags before and plan on using them for my hand knit gifts I'm doing this yr. I think they add a professional touch to things much like taking the time to properly block. I've also been looking at possibly knitting a few advent calendars (one is mittens another is random Christmas ornaments) as gifts to give for next yr, as I don't have time to complete them this yr.

    I'm really interested in those handspun yarn labels. I don't usually give my handspun as a gift directly (usually it's knit into the gift before I give it) but I'm far enough along into my spinning journey that I'm starting to forget what I did. I have few skeins of yarn in my stash that are either left overs of projects or I spun up on a whim without a project in mind and I can't remember the fiber content. I have roving in my stash too that I bought so long ago I don't remember what I bought and it wasn't labeled with all the information. I should really go through and organize/label things while my stash is still small enough to handle.
    I'm also in love with those little animals you showed. Now I want to decorate my tree with little knitted animal ornaments. Last year I started knitting ornaments for my tree and it's something I want to keep doing every year so I can eventually have a nice big collection.
    Speaking of animals I spied the sock monkey sitting on your self a few episodes ago. Did you knit that from a pattern and if so would you mind sharing it? I would love to make one.

    • @EweUniversity
      @EweUniversity 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fern -- it sounds like those handspun labels are perfect for you. If you do the tree decorations with the teeny animals, you have to share a picture of it! The little monkey is a cutie, isn't he, and he's always in the background of my videos. My friend Gail made him from this pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/monkey-jacobus.

    Thanks Dr. Kelly for another great podcast. As usual, you are interesting and informative without being silly or using nonsense to grab attention. That may sound like faint praise, but believe me, I get so sick of podcasts whose content is 10% (or less!) information and 90% white noise. Honestly, there are some podcasters that I really WANT to like, because they are so popular, and supposedly knowledgeable, but if after watching a whole podcast, I cannot remember any of it ... well if I want empty entertainment, I can always watch TV. I love genuine laughter, but silly, fake giggling that some resort to (maybe they are just nervous?), frankly it gets on my nerves. It's not easy maintaining an intelligent, interesting balance, but "ewe" do! So that's why you are my favorite podcaster (don't tell the others, they'll be jealous I'm sure).
    And yes, I didn't see this one in time for Christmas 2018, but it has given me a lot of ideas for next year, plus those tiny animals are not only adorable, but could be used for gifts all year! And one person on her IG stories was gushing about her Knitting Planner that cost $25, but as far as I could see was pages and pages of boxes, so your suggestions for printables is right on target. Plus if you print them and put them in a three ringer binder, you could have a section for different crafts if desired. Maybe you could do a show on crafting planners, and compare and contrast them!
    So thank you and here's to a Happy 2019!!! (PS I didn't notice until after I wrote this, that you had broadcast this in 2017! I can't figure out how TH-cam decides what to recommend and why.... it would have been nice for them to recommend this one BEFORE Christmas... Maybe you could do a podcast on social media and how they decide what you get to see or NOT see. I'm sure a lot of people are curious about that.)
