I think this is an Amazing Idea!!!! and it's not CRUEL!( dogs control the speed of the scooter and the scooter has breaks. A treadmill is more of a hazard- scary in fact, " you are strapping your dog from a collar to the machine, you are setting the speed you want! "the dog has no control if its tired and wants to stop! and god forbid the owner forgets the dog answering the phone and getting side track!. For those who Bike ride just holding a leash is more dangerous and can get tangled, and the dog can get hurt. And, all of the time for the two above the dogs are not wearing harnesses the owner is putting all the strain on dogs neck. Again, this is a safer way to exercise your dog and their is nothing wrong with this exercise at all. You are fulfilling your dogs needs physically and mentally we cant forget some dogs are working dogs, walking a few blocks is not going to do the dog justice. Especially for those who have reactive and high energy dogs. (Side note: Before typing this I saw a video of a guy saying he wanted to exercise his dog so he attached a dog to a motorcycle and dragged the poor dog down the road) .
LOVE IT! Ik they said its best for dogs over 1 and under 10, but my girl is 10yrs old and i want it anyway lol. Shes not easily scared of new things so i think she’d do great with it, and it’d be a great way to exercise her! If only i had the money 😂😭.

It took me 3 10 minute sessions until my dog was happy to be hitched up and go for a run with the scooter. He had a big smiley grin and clearly was having a great time. Just need a friend to help you out for the first few sessions.
I'm really tempted to get one my I have a Belgium malinois who's just coming one year old and a 16 month old border collie. My old landlord sold house and we had to move. Where I've moved there's a tiny tiny courtyard instead of a garden and nowhere that they can get off leash and run or have long games of fetch or chase like they used too. I could walk for. three hours and they'll come back still full of energy frustrated and hyperactive and they don't enjoy the slow human paced walks at all I've got a electric scooter already but feel it be too dangerous to take them out on that so might get one of these
This does not replace walking. I like taking my dog out on the scooter before his evening walk so he can run as fast as he likes and burn off his energy. Then we can enjoy a human-paced walk.
You can kick a little to help with hills, but the device is more for the dog's benefit than the rider. The dog propels you, but the point is, the dog can finally run as fast as it wants. Very nice if you live in an area where off leash activities are difficult or if you have a dog that just wants to RUN!
The dog literally pushes the scooter. If the dog decides to slow or stop, the scooter stops. This is not an E scooter or motorized in any way. That is why it is called a "dog powered" scooter.

Depends on your dog, their breed and personality. Some of the dogs I see love pulling and working for their owners, Other dogs meanwhile don't like it because they either don't have the endurance or they are lazy type dog.
Actually the dog can just stop moving. I have a Walky Dog stick that attaches my dog to my bike and trust me, if he doesn't want to go he doesn't. And that doesn't require him to push it, it's me pulling him if he decides he doesn't want to go. He's made me almost fall off my bike a number of times because he decided the time to poop was NOW.
It probably depends on the dog, but my dog thinks this is a FUN activity! Remember, unlike a bicycle, you can't force the dog to move. These scooters are not electric. If the dog doesn't want to run, you're not going anywhere.
I’ve got a dog powered scooter and my dogs LOVE going out and about hitched to the scooter. It is really safe for both the dogs and the rider. My high energy dogs love to run so this is perfect for them. I still take them for walks. Using this does not make a person lazy, it is all about the dogs. For anyone who has had a high drive working dog this is great.

My GPS registered my dog running at over 20 miles per hour! I let him burn his energy off running the scooter and THEN we go for a human paced walk.
