I had the same thought :) Holy DDoS ... like last episodes hymn of "turn it off and on again" this is one of the humorous undercurrents that makes 40k so amazing,
I dont know what you did to me but now I can't survive without a daily dose of puns. I've even caught myself making some in my head yesterday! What have you done to me Retcon?!
I know it's extremely contrary to how you play, but given how much care they've given to the interactions within the party, this game lends itself to some rotation within the party, rather than the classic A Team / ship companions.
so much good gear in game for idira that relies on her causing perils of the warp so i never bother with reducing veil degredation, even with like 3 psykers in the party. but... does it still have the same chance of triggering even with low degredation or is it just better to let it build it up if you're using the gear to get her psy rating up during combat?
From what I understand she always has at least a chance of triggering psychic phenomena no matter how low degredation is, though it does become more likely as degredation goes up. I think I just found myself starting to lean away from it because I didn't like having to constantly worry about the RNG one-shotting her in the middle of combat. The extra enemies she'd often summon also kind of lost their appeal when the devs decided to slash how much XP they were worth. :)
41:29 I do remember you mentioned previously you'd be taking Valen down Assassin so I hope Owlcat has fixed it, it's talents and abilities were pretty badly bugged and outright broken a couple patches post-launch.
Eh, I think *most* of the Advanced Archetypes were pretty badly bugged post-launch. I'm at the point where I'm just sort of crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. :P
@@RetconRaiderYeah, I just remember Assassin getting the most complaints on the subreddit. Arch Militant was in the other direction entirely, I think they've nerfed it a little but it's still really strong.
As much as it was painful to listen to Aurora's dialogue, I must admit that writers did their best. It fits the character, their background, little knowledge and their narrow pessimistic worldview. It's not the fault of writers that we as a player are spoiled the lore none of the characters are supposed to know. Or moreover, the fact that we're aware of other "normal" civilizations in sci-fi like Culture or even Xelee that would make any "god" of 40k seem like an ant and thus can't take the situation as seriously as characters would or rather should. However I can't get rid of the feeling that even companions were rolling their eyes at this, how would people nowadays say, "cringe reddit talk"😅
Eh, I give her a lot of leeway since, even just based on what the *player* can do with their planets, the average citizen in the Imperium is going to feel like they just don't have a lot of control over their lives. In her particular case it was also dialed up to 11 because she was hopped up on Chaos Daemons who were deliberately exploiting her feelings of grievance. :)
@@RetconRaider yeah, hopefully the game has more [Iconoclast] options for actual strategic layer of trade empire and planet management compared to demo. Though I don't see how it would allow that as usually the balancing factor for "good guy" options is the price in resources and time. As far as I know the game lacks the grinding or market manipulation components, so paying more with resources you wouldn't have isn't an option:(
Considering the area and the game, I have a few comments. It's absolutely shocking you ran out of puns. Shocking. It's no way to conduct yourself. The power of the pun is undeniable and uninterruptible. There should have been an endless stream of, the current of them wearing down all resistance to the power of the pun. They should be amplified beyond all reason. There should be no ground safe from them. Generating all these puns is equal parts joy for the writer and a pox to all those who hear them. Okay, I'll give you some credit, I'm starting to scrap the bottom of barrel. My capacity to come up with puns like this isn't as good as it used to be. Just not wired that way.
Quality content like this is why I'm glad you make good money with TH-cam ads.
8:28 liturgical DDoS attack lol. This is part of why I like the cult mechanicus. (The traitorous flesh also being a reason)

The only channel I've ever watched someone's playthroughs. Loveee this series 💚💀💚

18:45 when retcon meets his match. Your thoughts are running in parallel
20:25 LOL subtle! Am I the only old guy in here that caught that Linkin Park refrence!!!! Hahahah love your content dude
I must say, this episode was ... electrifying! 😊
If you intend to give Abelard heavy weapons, there are some that require 60 strength.
Honestly not sure if I do. But, worst case scenario, I can always snag the Heavy Weapons talent. :)
I said, "et tu, pascal?!" a fraction of second before you, it was amusing 😂

@@RetconRaider yeah i like rng type mechanics like that, every time she one shots herself it's still funny to me XD

👍👍
9:38 Lol I do find Abby's pettiness here amusing.
