I've ridden Shambhala several times, and "brutal" is definitly not the term I would use to characterize its airtimes. I think more accurates words would be something like "never-ending", "atmospheric", "ethereal", "majestic"...
This is by far the best ride I have ever been on in my life. Couldn't get enough of it. Honestly for anyone who thinks this ride looks dull you must try it first. Definitely in a league of its own!!!
Gave a few smaller coasters a go to build up to Shambhala, nothing could prepare me for what was about to happen, WOW ! that 1st drop and even the 2nd were incredible, at 52 yrs old im now trying things i would have never done when i was younger - indestructable and loving it - wooohooo !!!
My wife and I both went on this ride during the summer of 2014 and we're in our 40s,it was the most fantastic time of our holiday.we were on all the park rides like a couple of kids,it was an awesome holiday,so good we've booked again this year.
Well ive never been there but im 11 and went on the smiler 4 times and nemises 2 times in alton towers then all the rest once because the lines were huge
I am going now in 3 weeks. The only thing which I am concerned is because the seats does not have the chest support. Only the handles where you can make force. I am afraid i will go down in the fall haha!
been on this rollercoaster last summer holiday. freakin awesome! it's so much better to enter this rollercoaster during late evening because of the excitement, but the waiting queue is also much longer in the evenings and that really sucks! we had to wait 50 minutes. during midday the waiting time is about 20 minutes
The back is actually the best place to sit when riding a roller coaster because all the weight from the other carts gives you an extra pull when going down the steep slopes. If you've never sat on the back before, try it just once! Trust me! There is a big difference from siting in the front!
I personally prefer the front. In the back, i hate the feel of being pulled down the drop instead of just letting gravity take you down. But everyone has their own opinions.
Ive been on Shambhala, my first rollercoaster was the Dragon Kahn, it was amazing.. seriously the Dragon Kahn is more scary because after the big drop on the Shambhala is passed its fine!
This must be INSANE! From what it looks like to me this thing is an air time machine. You can see how they are being pushed upwards very early on on the ascent over the AT hill. B&M has such different AT hills compared to Intamin or such. It also looks like that you rarely see the track in front of you when coasting those hills.... very cool! Bucket list material!
it is a real coaster for sure.. i'm working at that park right now for the christmas season and i went on that coaster 2 days ago.. maybe this is a green screen version but it's exactly how the coaster is
Loved this video, had to laugh at the guy in the shirt constantly checking his collar and sweating under the arm's. Made my viewing more pleasurable lol lol. Thank you. Oh an your collar is ok. :)
Love Dragon Khan - haven't been on this yet. Looks really great - very steep. It's a good long ride. I don't think we have ANYTHING over 30 seconds in the UK.
Wow this bad boy is fast. The thing is that it's not the fast(est) coaster there is, but there's long sections of shorter hills/flat track that make you really feel the speed
this is MUCH taller than the rollercoaster in blackpool and it is actually a fact that this is the tallest one in europe. yes the rollercoaster in blackpool seems like it is quite high but if you look at how steep it is compared to shambhala it really pales in significance. when you are on this rollercoaster you realise just how massive it is, and when you come hurtling down after that steep incline you can't even see the track it is so steep and literally takes your breath away, which is why you can't hear anyone screaming. i did this ride all by myself last week (as in my partner was too big to get on the ride after we had queued for nearly 3 hours... there were of course other people on the rollercoaster with me) and i was TERRIFIED! But so glad i did it and would really recommend it to anyone who loves these kinds of thrills :-D
Been on both many times. Ok it does say that Shambhala is the tallest in Europe end the stats back this up but I have always said that the Big One looks and feels taller for some reason. I don't know why this is. Is it because the Shambhala lift goes up steeper and faster to the first drop , whereas the Big One seems to take forever , and then the view you get of the Flyde coast? Just seems higher to me...... but again I know it's not! lol!
As I said, it depends on how many people is in the park. Last Saturday I waited for 1h. and later that day the waiting lasted up to 3h. If you go Mon to Fri, waiting time is shorter.
This is one nice Coaster, I love all the drops it has. You usually don't see that many. I had to laugh at the guy on the right fixing his shirt before going down the first hill. Was he nervous? I would say maybe. hehe
I went on this so many times when I went it was the first ride i went on there and the last during that holiday but not last ever hopefully as i wish to go back there.
This reminds me a lot of Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure (New Jersey USA), except with less gratuitous high-G-turns. I bloody loved Nitro, so I should really plan a trip to Spain!
You feel like you're going to die when your at the top, at the end you feel like a legend.
Anyone who has rode this can agree the air time is absolutely brutal.
I've ridden Shambhala several times, and "brutal" is definitly not the term I would use to characterize its airtimes. I think more accurates words would be something like "never-ending", "atmospheric", "ethereal", "majestic"...
@@darrenmcguigan Well I didn't know Shakespeare was fond of rollercoasters X) It's quite a vigourous hobby for a 400 years old writer !
that one little ejector hill was so amazing because i werent expecting it
Coaster Crafter or amazing.
yea like you're superman
This is by far the best ride I have ever been on in my life. Couldn't get enough of it. Honestly for anyone who thinks this ride looks dull you must try it first. Definitely in a league of its own!!!

those seats gave me anxiety
Yasss the non existent hand bars.
and the fact if you're not over 6 foot your feet will just dangle lol
Even tho they look small, they are actually pretty big and you feel comfortable and safe when riding it (=
I went on this and it's so fun!!
Laura Bollin nice , while I was dying
My wife and I both went on this ride during the summer of 2014 and we're in our 40s,it was the most fantastic time of our holiday.we were on all the park rides like a couple of kids,it was an awesome holiday,so good we've booked again this year.
This looks amazingly smooth!
Nicely done video. So clear, and the front view, you feel like your on the Coaster.
One of the best rides I’ve been on!
I hope you had a good time, and that you enjoyed this Coaster.
Oh my god... So excited! Leaving for Spain tomorrow, and I'm going to Port Aventura :D
Port Aventura is an amazing theme park. Been there quite a few times.
this was the first roller coaster i ever went on! i was eight years old at the time and it had just opened. nostalgia...
This is the best coaster i've been on in my life! :D
Engineer who helpen constructing that coaster: "I always wanted to work on space stations. And now i did it!"
im 11 and ive never been on a rollercoster but im going to portaventura this summer
should i go on the shambhala?
Yes
Well ive never been there but im 11 and went on the smiler 4 times and nemises 2 times in alton towers then all the rest once because the lines were huge
I was 7 when I went on my first one
of course you idiot
I was there about 5 weeks ago on holiday and it is a trip i will never forget i love this ride
WOW !!!!!! IM FROM THE STATES AND SINCE I WILL NEVER HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GO TO SPAIN THANKS FOR POSTING NEWSPARCS
I have ride this roller coaster on my birthday, and it was the most scariest ride I have ever been in my life.
I've been on this ride not so long ago&before went on this ride a was terrified of rollar coasters but since I tried that out I love them now!
awesome the coaster is completely open so all the open space to fly around
I remember going on this one and sitting at the front I would say that this one is one of the best rides I have ever been on
Port aventura is in Tarragona, Spain. near Barcelona.
looks pretty awesome, glad to see Europe getting better coasters. :D
1:06 is an amazing veiw of one of the most beautiful elements i have ever seen on a coaster.
It's not a station, it's a "mid-course brake run/trim brake"; they are meant to adjust the speed of the train
I went on this ride during summer break it’s honestly so fun
Was at Shambhala 2 months ago, and it was crazy and unforgettable !!
I am going now in 3 weeks. The only thing which I am concerned is because the seats does not have the chest support. Only the handles where you can make force. I am afraid i will go down in the fall haha!

Really love this ride. So smooth and lots of air time.

I like sitting in the middle lol
I like the front, because then I feel like I'm 'driving' the roller coaster.
Nile River
love the restraints on B&M hypercoasters. So comfortable and non-restrictive
It's in Salou, Spain.
love portaventura! need to go back there! :)
I Love Port Aventura!!!
this looks ace been on dragon khan years ago and yes it is salou the water parks tarragona way.
One of my favourite rides
I went to port aventura with school! It looks alot taller in person! Unfortunately it was closed for maintenance!
This coaster is just epic!
It's so swoopy! That must feel amazing...
Ive been on Shambhala, my first rollercoaster was the Dragon Kahn, it was amazing.. seriously the Dragon Kahn is more scary because after the big drop on the Shambhala is passed its fine!
Best rollercoaster i went in so far :D
MAN . I HAVEN'T SCREAMED LIKE THAT IN YEARS .
Been there done that, it was awesome and has a great view for a bit lol
Awesome coaster!
I'm hopefully going there for a trip
Looks so fun
THat looks amazingly smooth. Their hands are hardly moving at all.

It really is, especially with them lap restraints
It's in the Chinese THEMED part of the THEME park and Port Aventura is situated in SPAIN.
il est trop bien
j'adore le SHAMBALA
It's in the Chinese-themed section of the park. It's still located in Europe.
THAT LOOKED FUN AS BALLS!!!
I have been on this. I loved it
it is a real coaster for sure.. i'm working at that park right now for the christmas season and i went on that coaster 2 days ago.. maybe this is a green screen version but it's exactly how the coaster is
Tarragona city it's near (15-20km) but the city where the park is located is named Salou =)
very nice filmwork !!
The ride is amazing.
I don't know yet I have seen some picture adds about it recently but I haven't seen an actual trailer for it yet
Loved this video, had to laugh at the guy in the shirt constantly checking his collar and sweating under the arm's. Made my viewing more pleasurable lol lol. Thank you. Oh an your collar is ok. :)
Isn’t Red Force taller?
This video was made before the construction of Red Force. Obv Red Force is taller, about 112m, shambala is about 76m.
Love Dragon Khan - haven't been on this yet. Looks really great - very steep.
It's a good long ride. I don't think we have ANYTHING over 30 seconds in the UK.
The guy on the right side of the pov is just like "yay, its a new coaster... doesn't make my stomach go though", a familiar feeling I must admit.
Es la mejor atracción que he probado nunca!!!
wow they are doing it in Europe too, nice.
At 0:55 I would be like why the fuck am I doing this to my self
kerolous adeib I would go on it
Jada, yes it is in Europe
I'm going tommorow can't wait
Wow this bad boy is fast. The thing is that it's not the fast(est) coaster there is, but there's long sections of shorter hills/flat track that make you really feel the speed
I love it I would go back there
I've been on that and it broke down at the top... But still went on it again its amazing!!!
this is MUCH taller than the rollercoaster in blackpool and it is actually a fact that this is the tallest one in europe. yes the rollercoaster in blackpool seems like it is quite high but if you look at how steep it is compared to shambhala it really pales in significance. when you are on this rollercoaster you realise just how massive it is, and when you come hurtling down after that steep incline you can't even see the track it is so steep and literally takes your breath away, which is why you can't hear anyone screaming. i did this ride all by myself last week (as in my partner was too big to get on the ride after we had queued for nearly 3 hours... there were of course other people on the rollercoaster with me) and i was TERRIFIED! LOL. I was thinking just like that 3 weeks ago when I went to Kings Island. Me and my Dad got on every roller coaster. It was so fun. ;)
No, its in Tarragona, Spain
why not? i went to Furious Baco tons of times and it's so cool
As I said, it depends on how many people is in the park. Last Saturday I waited for 1h. and later that day the waiting lasted up to 3h. If you go Mon to Fri, waiting time is shorter.

Doood, you should defo try this!
This reminds me a lot of Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure (New Jersey USA), except with less gratuitous high-G-turns.
I bloody loved Nitro, so I should really plan a trip to Spain!
because it is almost vertical? its a drop a drop looks like another drop because its a drop. OK?
For such a huge ride I loved that fast climb at the start. Very nice pace. I hate those slow poke climbs
This is awesome!!
How can you be that calm goinge up
Cool ride
Barcelona salon Sambala. Biggest European roller coaster second biggest in port adventure is dragonkhan
Going in 11 days but I'm terrified of this ride, I'm really nervous to go on D:
how long is the wait for this? will be going on it - in a couple of weeks.
A lot of rollercoasters have those. I'm not exactly sure why, though.
Second BIG coaster in Europe!
What's the point of the station at 1:47?
Alguien podría decirme en que minuto es cuando te sacan la foto?
