It's aggressive while still maintaining the ability to rotate in the ground. I love the texturing on the upper, it provides great grip on the ball while not adding any excess bulk to the upper. I will say that they aren't necessarily the best looking boots but in the right color way they could look amazing. That's my ridiculously long comment on nikes boots ranked from worst to best.

Both aren't too far apart in price, personally I don't have a preference between the two but I should go for the top end older superfly instead of the newer takedown right?
The Vapor 12 Pro isn't exactly a takedown model in regards to overall quality. I'd say they're pretty equal in regards to both being excellent boots, but they will offer quite a different fit and feel, so it depends on what you really want.

Out of the ones I've worn: 1. Superfly 6 2. Vapor 12 3. Tiempo Legend 7 4. Hypervenom Phantom 3 DF 5. Magista Obra 2 DF 6. Hypervenom Phantom 3 Low The hypervenoms are overall the worst from nike imo. Until they are worn heavily and broken in for me they're extremely stiff and feel uncomfortable and terrible on feet. Tiempos are great, but i prefer lighter, thinner boots. The new mercurials are so thin and minimalistic and i love it, i just kinda prefer my ankle to be covered. Feels more natural and more comfortable, but can be a little restricting. Magistas are good, i just prefer thinner cleats. Hypervenoms are the worst cleats I've ever worn out of the box, and the close second is the vapor 11, but those are amazing once broken in for a bit.
You should do a top boots from all the manufactures every year or something. Some of the smaller name companies make boots that heavily compete with the tops brand.
My son has had every style boot made...his favorite by far in comfort and performance are the Nike phantom vision ghost elite boots..the best boot on the market

dang, i live in oregon and was at the nike employee store yesterday trying to snag myself a pair of phantoms. my friend had been there the day before and they had all sizes. I show up and they only have 9.5 and below while i wear a size 12. I then come home to a bunch of videos in my suggested about how great the boot is. Bummer :(
I’m looking into boots and haven’t bought a pair since 2014 when mid cuts were first coming out. I was interested in a collar because my tiempos give me blisters on the backs of my heels. Would mid cuts prevent this?

That's coming! They're very different boots in regards to fit and feel. The Hpervenoms have a much softer, more padded feel.
