Sarah and Rufus, what a brilliant peace of work (or is it art) you produced. Enjoyed every minute of it. And I cannot help but mention the dive you took Rufus to feed the sheep. It put an even bigger smile to my face. What a transformation on Tommy and what a lovely character he is. Stay healthy and safe and looking forward to the summer edition.
I watched the film till the end. It was heartbreaking, because my late father was a poultry breeder and had also about 200 sheep and goats. (And horses and rabbits and turkeys and geese and pigeons and ducks and dogs and cats). I spent every weekend, holiday and summers of my childhood at the farm, when I wasn't downtown for school. My memories of the hardships he was going through as a farmer and the dedication he showed have left profound marks on me. What Rufus said, that many people can understand his mom and her devotion, really touched me deeply. I wish you all the best and, dear lad, the legacy you're creating by showing your mom's work is remarkable!!
Absolutely stunning! At 54 my wife and I started our first farm. Not big but enough. Now after 5 years we’ve moved on and bought a flock of Leicester Longwool sheep and the work has begun in earnest! Our first real lambing will be this Fall and I love your mum’s spirit and her gentle love of all creatures. Your humility in your perspective and your approach to what she loves so much is inspiring. I grew up on a small country farm and love every moment of these very long days. Thank you for sharing this. I look forward to your future projects! This is the first of your videos that I’ve watched and the first time I’ve seen another farmer like me! I have a new favorite sheep channel to watch.
Thank you for sharing life on Your dear mums farm. She works soo hard bless her. As humans we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and cares for us. We are like those sheep the Bible says. Will look forward to watching more videos. God bless you both
A wonderfull film , thankyou . Your little pig is so cute , Tommy . Jack is all mouth .your mum knows all her stock , amazing . It really shows she loves what she dose . Great Job you did pulling the lame out and your mum coaching . I've learned alot .thanks . In Utah USA .
Excellent again Rufus! Detailed and informative. Tommy is looking good as are ALL those sheep & lambs. Enjoy spring and the good weather. Paul. West Wycombe village
Another wonderful video!! Your commentary, Ru, is so insightful and complements the video perfectly. As usual, your mom is so wonderful and inspiring!! As always I'm looking forward to the next installment!!
I throughly enjoyed your Spring. I watch a couple of "sheep" channels that are different, but loved the way your lambing was broken down into chapters. It was entertaining, but informational too. Your animals are well cared for, and of course the lambs are the star of the show in my opinion. I'm not a farmer. Quite the opposite. I used to teach reading to children who needed an extra boost to be reading fluently, but at 66 with serious spinal stenosis ,I find myself bedridden at times. So l look for entertainment. You and your mother just popped up! I'm looking forward to new farm adventures. I reside in Chicagoland USA, called Hammond, IN. I'm laughing to myself at how much knowledge l have truly aquired, and now with your channel even more. You won't be able to miss me with a last name like Peacock. Be looking for me, and I for you! Good luck and may God bless!
Loved the video - how the lambs frolic about and look like they’re wearing oversized jumpers that don’t quite fit them yet. Favourite moment is Ru being rugby tackled to the ground by the flock! Also good to see your spraying numbers technique has improved! Love to you, Sarah and all at the farm. Judith x
We have 10 lambs this year and one ewe still waiting to pop- great time of year- and yes, farmers everywhere have such an appreciation for the living world around them, early morning light, such beauty. Wonderful journey through your lambing process. Could there still be talks about farming issues? I'm still very interested in how BREXIT is taking it's toll on agriculture there and what it is changing on your farm- grain cost, hay source, etc. The other big question is who will take over from your Mom when she is to old for this? What are the plans? I'll be putting my land into forest trust and it will shift out of farming and into forest restoration when I am too old to keep up with the physical demands of the job. Thanks again for all this candid reflection. Cheers
Hey Sarah and Rufus. I just watched your Spring video and absolutely loved it. It was informative and shows just how hard and how dedicated your Mum is to her animals. I also love the relationship you and your Mum have. Keep up the good work, looking forward to watch more.
Loved the video. Tommy sure has grown. I am looking forward to the little piglets coming up. Sure glad the camera worked well for your mom. Not having to make the trips as well as catching someone needing help, sure makes lambing less stressful. Beautiful lambs.
Thank you for sharing . It’s been a very enjoyable watch and always a delight to see you both and your passion and love for farming shines through. Tommy’s such a lovely piggy and sure to father some real beauties . Oh the little lambs 😍. Take care and I look forward to the next film , bless you
We've had our first couple of real frosts and three beefer ladies are still waiting to (field) calve. I told Himself he left the bull in too long 😉. It's chicken cull season to ensure everyone has sufficient roost space for winter. Veg patch in winter growing mode and trees all turning red. Wonderful season. I love Tamworth pigs. Great foragers. Good luck with all your wooly girls
Well done great video showing the job how it is with your mum working day in day out looking after the livestock , it’s good that you show the bigger picture that us farmers do , much better than the likes of Country file, that only gives half the story, this was very informative . 👌👌
Wonderful video.. So pleased for your mother, Seeing her smile and laugh is a great picture. She comes across as such a positive person in such tough times. Great video and keep up the good work.
Great video, Ru. Your mum might make a farmer out of you yet! Hooray for your mum, the shepherdess. I'm glad she had a successful lambing season. 3am births, awful presentations, ewes who reject a lamb = an enormous challenge. Folks need to know about the hard work and tlc that goes into food and wool production (and I wish shepherds got more money for their wool clip).
Really enjoyed your video. Good old down to earth common sense. Beautifully produced and presented. This is the first time we’ve watched your video, so look forward to seeing some more in the future. Just one question! Where in the country are you?
Absolutely gorgeous footage, editing, and narrating! I was so enthralled - very disappointed when it ended (and summer seems so far away)! The ‘sky’ cam provided better results then I thought (way to go Ru)! I really thought the height at which it had to be mounted would have made the footage too small to allow you to see anything? It was smashing - nice color too! What was the total lamb count? Hopefully you didn’t lose too many. Greetings and congrats from PA, USA. How about some future footage of your doggies and hard working barn / house kitties? >^..^
Really great question. I think that might be a nice video to answer. Mum actually feeds them a variety of different things that she mixes herself!! I will ask on a future podcast and see if people would like to see a video on it

Great video. Brought back some great memories. Well done to you and your mum.
Thanks Alastair 😁
So glad the video is live! Can’t wait for the next one!
What a great video. It brought back many memories.🙂 You've learned a new skill Rufus. Not many young men can list "pulling lambs" on their resume. 😉

What breed of sheep? Love the videos!! I am a USA wool spinner.
This reminds me of “Little Bo-Peep” & “Mary Had a Little Lamb” from Nursery Rhymes (1983)
This reminds me of A Christmas Romance (1994)
I wanna live and work there :)

Is Lamb, a boy or girl⁉️
Family Home Entertainment presents Nursery Rhymes (1983)
Why is he so unfamiliar with his mom's work? Is he city boy and, if he is, why so?
Too many Ads to watch. Not worth it.
"care" "love" yeah, just up to the point they are Killed for money?
