Quicker than dragging it by hand...!😮 dont forgot the tide isn't always in...tracking is a great idea across the sand

That's such a unique lifeboat launch with the tracked unit.
Thanks to the brave, dedicated men and women for voluntarily rescuing people and saving life. Blessings to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. From the States, Keith

Thanks to the child for having the foresight to explain to us why the boat was launched. Adults don't think, tsss.

I thought the lifeboat at Ilfracombe was moored outside the harbour?

Nope, their station is right there on the harbour edge.

But the music is necessary. It covers up the clattering noise made by the projector.

Po co jest wodowany i wyciągany? Nie może stać zacumowany jak inne łodzie? Jakiś nonsens 🤔

If the tide is out then they wouldn’t be able to launch the boat. It’s not fast but enables them to launch at any tide condition.

As well for longevity and maintenance of the craft, RNLI operate mostly in saltwater which can lead to shorter lifespan of the vessel due to corrosion, having it out of the water allows for easier maintenance, but also less frequent maintenance, keeping a vital asset in an emergency in top condition
As above though, it's mostly tides

In harbour when there are relatively small boats moored your limited with the speed you can do because of waves you create, what you don't want to do is create another emergency by sinking a boat with people on it in the harbour
