Overmars was always one of the favourite Arsenal player of all time. He was one of the reason we won that season. What an unbelievably underrated legend! Also Bergkamp was on fire Anelka, Adams, Viera were game changers.
This season was so tight like this season(2023-24) Ian Wright cemented his Arsenal Legacy that season plus Bergkamp(most underrated Arsenal Legend) Vieira,Overmars,Winterburn,Petit
How is Bergkamp underrated at Arsenal ? Many fans even rank him above Henry for greatest ever Arsenal player. He's probably underrated in the football world but not at Arsenal
@alessiodelcastillo1613 which was still only 19 goals and a trophyless season. His team only conceded 17 in 98/99 the 2nd best defensive record in PL history so if he did his job a bit better his team win things.
What a season. Memorable one. Arsene Wenger winning a domestic double in his first full season as Arsenal boss. Bergkamp, Vieira, Overmars, Wright, Adams, Parlour,Seaman and others Highbury faithful produced some illustrious soccer of high class.
Golden era Gunners. My all time favourite football team. Magical Bergkamp, Lethal Wright,Creative Vieira, Tricky Overmars,Solid Seaman, Fluent Parlour,Young Anelka and Boss Arsene.
Watching this Legacy, first half of the Season was for Ian Wright and Bergkamp, second half was for Anelka and Ray. Overmars, what a player. Adams, captain fantastic
As you see we won 48 points out of 54. Winning streaks makes you champion. If we want to clinch the tittle this season 2023_2024 we should win atleat 10 straight games in a row or in other hands grap at least b/w 47-50 points out of possible 57, since we have 40 points out of 54 so far.
Also a famous bookmakers called Fred Done who is now has high street brand famously put his money out early on Utd winning the title early. All went wrong when Arsenal visited Old Trafford and won
Nicolas Anelka was so gifted until he became arrogant. I will never forget his stunning goal against Manchester United at home when we won 3-2. Ian Wright couldn't stop scoring. Dennis Bergkamp scoring goals too for fun, especially his hat trick at Leicester especially his third with a lovely chip. Marc Overmars scoring our decisive goal away at Manchester United and it was so clinical. Arsenal 97-98 squad Seaman, Dixon, Bould, Adams(C), Winterburn, Overmars, Petit, Vieira, Bergkamp, Wright, Anelka.
Gary Neville reckons this team was the hardest domestic challenge Utd ever faced during his whole time at the club, even more so than the Invincibles or peak Chelsea.
Yeah but doesn't mean it's true. Funny thing is ManUtd 97/98 although finished without a major trophy had the best GD by a distance which was actually identical in goals scored & conceded to Arsenal invincibles (73-26 +47GD).
The hardest title challenge ManUtd won still remains Newcastle 95/96 and the 2 closest to that were when ManUtd beat Arsenal 98/99 and Arsenal 2002/03. 97/98 would've been easily won for ManUtd if they didn't have so many injury problems and a ChampionsLeague campaign to concentrate on (which also caused injury problems) Arsenal were out of Europe straightaway. Also a key moment at Highbury when Scholes should've had a pen at 2-2 that was November Arsenal have absolutely zero chance without that decision and then getting the late winner themselves and then also beating half a ManUtd B-team at OldTrafford they needed both to stand any chance which had a big mathematical effect on Arsenal's side in the final standings they weren't the best team but on some odd occasions you can be the 2nd best and just nick it. Keane injured almost all season missed both Arsenal games and Irwin also missed Highbury game because Bosvelt had tried to break his leg in CL a few days earlier and somehow escaped a 2nd yellow he got to be subbed off after the foul rather than sent off. Pallister also got injured during that 3-2 defeat at Highbury and other big injuries that season included Giggs, Schmeichel & Johnsen. I felt Blackburn needed less things to go for them to win PL 94/95 than Arsenal did to win 97/98.
Fixed season. The PL don't want the same team to win more than 3 PL's in a row as it looks boring. So they favoured the 2nd best team (Chelsea) all season not just with decisions but also fixture scheduling to give them the best chance and they still nearly lost it lol Chelsea still needed StevenGerrard to match fix the penultimate game, throwing Liverpool's last home game of the season (vs Chelsea) because it was the first year ManUtd could go above Liverpool on overall league title's and Liverpool by then had nothing to play for so it was obvious Liverpool didn't want to allow Chelsea to drop any points in a must win game for Chelsea and you only have to look at how the deadlock was broken in that game to absolutely end any argument. Backpass straight to Drogba for clear 1on1 when Chelsea had created nothing.

Bergkamp was on a different level
This season was so tight like this season(2023-24) Ian Wright cemented his Arsenal Legacy that season plus Bergkamp(most underrated Arsenal Legend) Vieira,Overmars,Winterburn,Petit
Bergkamp has a statue. Definitely not underrated
How is Bergkamp underrated at Arsenal ? Many fans even rank him above Henry for greatest ever Arsenal player. He's probably underrated in the football world but not at Arsenal

Capital "A" in Arsenal.👍
Bergkamp and Anelka was so deadly that season
Yeah Anelka scored 9, that's never been beaten 😂
@@FootkerSnooball He was only 18
@alessiodelcastillo1613 MichaelOwen a whole 9 months younger than Anelka, scored 23 yet I don't rave about him.
@@FootkerSnooball Anelka’s best season at Arsenal wasn’t even this one but the next
@alessiodelcastillo1613 which was still only 19 goals and a trophyless season.

Dennis Bergkamp is one of the all time top 5 strikers. He has dribbling, speed, shooting from distance, control of ball in the air .
Bergkamp was a combination of pace, vision, skill and power. What a player
Bergkamp was magician, what a beautiful goals he scored! so amazing! arsenal had a full of talented players!
Golden era Gunners. My all time favourite football team. Magical Bergkamp, Lethal Wright,Creative Vieira, Tricky Overmars,Solid Seaman, Fluent Parlour,Young Anelka and Boss Arsene.
Thank you for the memories. Miss old Arsenal the team I remember growing up as a child 😊
I'm really jealous that I wasn't born at that time to see the likes of Bergkamp and Tony Adams playing for Arsenal.🥲
Watching this Legacy, first half of the Season was for Ian Wright and Bergkamp, second half was for Anelka and Ray.
Overmars, what a player. Adams, captain fantastic
This here helps me know why Dennis Bergkamp is a respected legend at Arsenal.
what a player D Bergkamp was 😊

Overmars, what a player.
United in March were 12 pts ahead with Arsenal only having 1 game in hand.. 10 game winning streak is insane.. Great season
Also a famous bookmakers called Fred Done who is now has high street brand famously put his money out early on Utd winning the title early. All went wrong when Arsenal visited Old Trafford and won
@@rajnirvan3336 I wish Fucking City had also similarly dropped points in the run in.. They're a different animal
Did Seaman even make a single save all season or it simply wasn't shown ?? Lol
This was the season I started supporting Arsenal from then on always a Gunner and now we back at the top again.
COYG! Gooners 4EVR.

Nah Gabi got ways to go to even be mentioned next to Overmaars

Best Arsenal team of all time. Yes even better than the Invincibles.
Hope this season be like this
Seaman was really finished!
seaman was making a lot of mistake but ohmylord this how bergkamp was good
Manniger was a top class keeper

At 2:51, I’m imagining Peter Drury’a commentary if he were the one. That’s one of the all time great goals of the EPL.

Where was Wright during the second half of the season? I didn't think Bergkamp was that good.
