Ray. Another fantastic video. U will figure out the machine. I'm sure once u sandblast and paint it u will find the problem. I would go to the main body ground. Truck turned out beautiful. Love your honesty.
Fingers crossed...That's the first step, I'm thinking! If my initial findings don't yield any answers...I'll have to take it to a dealership and see What's what. Thanks a bunch, buddy!
Thank you very much! Usually, I shoot PPG 2K urethane. When I Need specific paint number, or am shooting metallic, I will shoot either Imron Or Nason...which are built by the same company and share many numbers as well.
That KWhopper looks awesome, my dad drove the same model/year tractor when he worked for Boise Cascade, but they were white with green trim, he retired back in 2005.
If you don’t mind me asking what is the code for that blue. I love that color. Wish I could take my 94’ 379 but I’m from south TX way too far away for fuel
You bet... It's called sovereign blue and I believe the number is L0347. That's a Nason 2K urethane number...so it should cross to Imron no problem. A lot of the Axalta (The Parent company of both Imron and Nason) numbers won't cross to other paint systems...so don't be too surprised if it doesn't come up if you try to use almost anything else.
Hey Ray? Do you think the trucking company had body work done in the past on the back of the cab and, just didn't replace the huck bolts? Maybe that's why you didn't have to fix extensive hale damage, as usual. Looking good as always.
I wonder if the owner ever decides to keep the trucks after they see how good they look once they get repainted. I know they are doing it as an investment to get more at the sale but damn they look good.
That is really odd that it's missing that many rivets on the roof cap, and they are random. First thing I thought was that maybe someone had replaced the roof cap or cab back with a used one at some point, and ran out of rivets, but didn't care enough to buy more LOL. I'm really surprised that many of them corroded, especially to that level. It didn't take long to put your BobKitty to work. It's bound to have a few gremlins but you will get it all sorted out. Once you get the four wheel drive working, and get the body work done like you want it, it's going to be a great machine and should last a lifetime.
Hey thanks Mike! I'm including the complete restoration journey on that toolcat alongside the future videos...so I guess we'll both get to see how deep it ends up getting!
Well it's up to you to decide your own entertainment agenda. My shop isn't doing what we do for the sake of the youtube audience. I have been at this high output grind for over a quarter century now...and around here it's always been... Do a solid job. get paid. feed the fam and try to get by with the limited time we get on this planet. Then one day, I decided to bring a camera in so any interested outsiders can have a peek inside the walls...so to speak...and get an idea of how things tend to go around here. that's it... I'm not making any money at it...nor was I ever expecting to. And I definitely am not interested in dancing like a trained and leashed monkey for an audience of literally any size. I was offered a fair deal on a large quantity of work for this business and its team members....Why wouldn't I take it? Have you seen the economy and state of this country? I'd be a fool to turn down that kind of deal so certain members of my youtube audience can have a slightly more interesting 25 minutes of video to watch.

That would be interesting to find that they were initially purchased at an auction in Colorado, I think. Thanks a ton, my Northern friend!
Great videos Ray...is it Imron you generally shoot ??
Thank you very much! Usually, I shoot PPG 2K urethane. When I Need specific paint number, or am shooting metallic, I will shoot either Imron Or Nason...which are built by the same company and share many numbers as well.

Possibly...but the ones that I saw pop off were purely corroded...so I'm guessing thats my culpret. Thanks a bunch, Jason!
Nice job Ray, hey twinsticks need his truck painting.
Hey thanks a lot, buddy! If those Twinsticks folks want to collaborate...I'm sure I will eventually hear from them.
I wonder if the owner ever decides to keep the trucks after they see how good they look once they get repainted. I know they are doing it as an investment to get more at the sale but damn they look good.

@@teams.t.e.a.m6214 That should make for some good videos. Lookin forward to it.
Too much of the same trucks getting painted getting boring works great but not the same stuff most of the time!
