- Check out our review of 2024 Topps Heritage Hobby Box. We hit some cool SP's but is it worth $100, especially with no guaranteed auto?
ALSO - I later realized the backwards cards are SP's but they are the lower numbers this year (#1-100) - sorry for the confusion!
Awesome early look at the new release! I'm like you - I didn't previously care for Heritage all that much, but I've recently grown to love it! That was one loaded hobby box!! Nice rip!
Those black border and those white border cards are sharp. Really cool set. Thanks for sharing.
This is one of my twin girls favorite sets 😂😂she just likes the stamps for some odd reason but that's why we all collect and as always good luck rippin 🍀🍀 and good hits
great looking set love the design
Great rip!👊✌️
The chance of getting a parallel or hit seems to be increased this year. Normally, you could expect three per box. Looks like a good product this year. The white border is a nice parallel addition this year.
I agree and I also like the white border. I opened a second box (video posted) and hit another black border - along with the 2 whites and a chrome - also hit an image variation on that box. So maybe you get around 5 parallels/SP’s plus the hit per hobby box.
Wow first no box topper box I've seen opened
I actually got one - went by it quickly - it’s the George Brett
I've opened plenty of this 2024 hobby & monster boxes: a throw-back of the 1975 series cards by Topps. The Topps company just does not put much in these, plus too many problems: Reversing is a serious problem, it's when they made some of these cards they put the shiny material to make the card look better were put on the backs, terrible printing and hard to read, some cards were ok but, then they cut wrong, taking away from the bordering-when you have them graded 1 to 3 points are deducted off the true card value and, some were printed off center straight out of packs. This also happened in the 1975 series, same exact design, just a different year 2024. The only good thing is some are what's called all WH-White bordering, some are SS-Short print: cards on the back all numbered 1-100 are considered short print. Topps purposely reversing cards in the pack tells the opener that particular cards hold more value, not by much but, a little. You missed a short print on your first 2 packs, when they turn them cards backwards, its a specialty card, lol. Ive collected since the 60's baseball cards.
First comment! WooHoo. Topps Heritage is my favorite of the affordable sets. I love the card stock. The card photos are basically like "picture day" in school. Although this release seems to have more candid photos.
Just subscribed from Buffalo, I like heritage, classic looking, but a lot of base
Thanks for the sub!
Nice Box new subscriber here
Thanks for the sub!
Backwards cards= high number short prints?
I don't think so - they seem to be just regular base cards - but I could be missing something.
My bad, you're right - they are SP's - but they are at beginning of checklist (Low numbers), not high numbers. I'll need to go back and see if I got any big name SP's!
@@SoCalStars I don't really know for sure. Topps changes everything around so much. There's usually always about 100 high number sp's in Heritage, but they aren't as rare as in flagship.
Great looking product, overpriced, and very low odds for a good hit (the inserts basically suck).
Still, I enjoyed the vid, thank you! Being an influencer, we knew you’d get some good hits. :)
Haha I’m on the very lowest end of the influencer chain 😂. I’ve opened so many boxes that were dogs - in fact check out our 2nd box of this 😉. Plus not even sure we made our money back on this one!
How do you consider yourself a breaker and don't know the difference in the cards 😅😅😅😅😅
Well Sergio, I don’t consider myself a “breaker” - just a guy having fun opening and learning about cards. Whether you choose to watch or not is up to you, plenty of other, more knowledgeable channels out there!
