      @robertrobinson2649 disagree with that, Starfield will prove otherwise. Fallout 76's main problem was it's bugs early on. but when they first announced they were doing a mmo style Fallout, i admit i was curious about it. but mmo's aren't what Bethesda is usually known for, still i give them credit for trying something different. Starfield is like that to, except for the mmo part. but let's not forget that Elder Scrolls is there main bread and butter franchise, so there not going anywhere.
      now yeah you can say if microtransactions weren't in Fallout 76, then i can agree with that. but that's only one that has it.

    Community absolutely slaps. Something special happened when the game flopped on release. It created an environment only die hard fans were willing to stomach, later leading to a landscape of welcoming, excited, happy to help peers, who will do anything to encourage new comers to stay and give the game a shot. When the exploring questing and looting of a text book bethesda universe gets boring, you can trigger or attend public boss fight events that happen on the hour or when a nuke is launched. (Yes you can launch nukes) if none of that suits you or it grows old you can turn your focus to CAMP building which with its broken mechanics is almost a mini game in its own. At your camp you can host an active vendor where you can sell almost any resource, weapon or armor you find or craft, making collecting rare items even more engaging and encouraging player traffic to your hard worked camp build. Just all around lots of content and a good fun game. Highly recommend.

    I’m an OG Destiny 1 veteran who quit D2 due to the game’s shift to daily logins and constant playing to stay relevant. I started playing Fallout 76 after the expansion with Crater and Foundation and have been semi-consistent since then. I’ve played all the 3D fallout games a few times, and I can say this game’s world map is the best we’ve got so far. The game’s story has consistently improved, my personal favorite expansions being the ones relating to the Appalachia chapter of the Brotherhood. I can’t recommend this game enough to people who love fallout and looter-shooters who can’t afford to play every day. Fantastic causal experience, with the difficult ones being entirely optional for end game builds. Game is great.

    I see a few bits of misinformation in the comments, but the answer to the question, in short…is maybe.
    (The rest of the information…not so short)
    If you’re a hardcore gamer, you want to grind constantly for better gear in order to do end game content for better rewards (think of trials for Destiny or WoW), then the game absolutely ISN’T for you.
    The easy stage of the grind is difficult to play (until you get mutations and are able to get the perk that avoids losing them…marsupial is an absolute game changer). Although Wastelanders and Brotherhood of Steel introduced enjoyable DLC stories, the original ‘story’ is still in the game, and it’s an absolute chore to get through.
    If you want a story driven game in the true sense of the term then, again, this game probably isn’t for you. There are some enjoyable quest lines sure, but nothing that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
    The game is, however, a casual players paradise. If you want to just jump in and kill things, do events, build a camp and have a laid back time, the game is absolutely for you. Again, maybe the early stages will be a bit of a chore, and the main quest line isn’t good at all, but if you want to just sit back and chill while gaming, the game is extremely enjoyable and easy to pick up and put down as and when you feel like it.
    I have put 1000’s of hours into the game over multiple platforms, and every one has an incredible community. I love building my character, getting better gear and just exploring the wasteland. And I never (bar a couple of team based events) feel as though I really have to focus or struggle.
    The game is absolutely for the casual player. Also, ignore the pay to win garbage because this game absolutely isn’t that. And the scrapbox that comes with Fallout 1st, although a massive help, absolutely isn’t required. Will it make inventory management easier? Absolutely. Is it essential? Absolutely not. Remember, many of us played the game before the scrap box was a thing and our stash box was 1/3 of what it is now and we still managed.
    I sunk many hours into this game early on. Now I will jump in and out at months at a time and still enjoy myself.
    That’s what this game is and who it is for. The laid back player. The player who dosen’t want to spend hours researching every little thing about the game and the player who dosen’t want to just do constant grind loops.
    It’s not a Fallout game in a traditional sense, but it’s a relaxing and casual experience set in the Fallout world.
    So if that sounds like something you’d enjoy, then the game is definitely worth playing. And every single update is completely free (their is no need whatsoever to purchase any of the optional additional ‘content’)

    • @user-tp5yb4hr4w
      @user-tp5yb4hr4w 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      wait wait, the dude in the video is mentioning subscriptions for this game, it sounds like you aren't getting these updates completely free.

    • @JDTStagg-
      @JDTStagg- 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-tp5yb4hr4w
      There is an optimal subscription that provides a craft box (making it far easier to manage your inventory, but absolutely not essential) and where you can get some exclusive cosmetics…usually just appearance based items whether it’s for your camp or your character. You also get atoms which enables you to buy even more cosmetics and things like that.
      However, everything game wise is completely free. There isn’t a single bit of story or gameplay content in game that isn’t available to everyone. Every single time they release any story or gameplay content, that is completely free of charge.
      Does the subscription make increase the ease of play due to inventory management? Absolutely. But it’s still completely possible to play the game without it. Heck, it make actually make it easier to get caps without, because most people with Fallout 1st will simply store ammo/junk that they have zero intention of using. If you stick them in your vendor instead, you will often get people more than happy to pay for them.

    You can get the game for £5. The community is great. Boss fights feel genuinely epic with multiple players in power armour teaming up to take down the various bosses. If you're willing to accept all of the bugs and jank, the game is enjoyable. If you go into it expecting the experience of 3 or New Vegas, you will be sorely disappointed. But if you think you might be interested in it, give it a try and see if you enjoy it. You don't need the subscription service and you don't need to engage with the games microtransactions and the grinding to unlock new items feels satisfying and rewarding

  • @TerryCheever
    @TerryCheever 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Yeah, I'm still playing FO76 daily even having been playing since the start as a subscriber, though I don't play all day long and just till finish the daily challenge board usually. Four border collies get the rest of my attention, oh and wife too. It is a bit repetitive and seems like they're making it easier and easier as progresses over time for new players. We had to fight and grovel for everything when I started playing it, and it was a big improvement when they added the NPCs, but don't make it so easy that it becomes a waste of time, keep the adventure and difficulties high. I only team up to meet challenges and join other players to beat the queen or other bosses that I can't possibly beat alone. I did try a few times to kill those hard to kill bosses alone but burned through way too much ammo of multiple types doing that or more usually failing anyway after expending outrageous amounts of ammo. I find myself playing FO 4 or NV from time to time to get the feel of FO that I really enjoy and still waiting for FO 5.

      Want it to be hard again? Start a new toon at level 1. The only edge you have now is that all toons start with a full set of light leather armor and a weapon or two. Still gotta scramble to get what you need. To make it even harder, don't slot any legendary perks.

    Yes, I've long regarded Fallout 76 as a game that fits well with power casuals. Being a power casual player myself, I find it enjoyable to hop in after a stressful day and relax. A lot of complaints on socials stems from power gamers or serious gamers, expecting more than I think the game is designed to deliver. PVP worlds would have served that purpose, but I don't think they have enough resources to do it (as proven with the death of Nuclear Winter).

      Well, it is an online game after all. But it has a more classic dialogue system, where your build affects available dialogue decisions. You can either become allies or enemies with the Raiders in the northwest. The Brotherhood questline allows you to support one member in charge over the other, and get the other one exiled or kill them yourself, as well as be directly responsible for one of their "members" defecting to the Crater raider group, or keeping them. And since this is online, you can't just reload. Those decisions matter. The world doesn't change, but it allows for a lot of personal roleplay.

    A fallout game isnt a fallout game without the bugs

      I shoot the bugs with my vats 😂 They usually are just sleeping on the wall 😂 Someone should show Bethesda how easy it is to squash their own bugs. 😂

    Fallout 76 is NOT worth playing on the first 3 years. It started to be playable and lesser bugs on the 4th year. I just purchased it on the 4th year

      I disagree. It used to be much more hardcore on launch...It's made to be chill now. Year 1 was its best year. It runs better now, with more content, but it's not a survival game anymore.

    It is definitely not worth playing until the devs actually get their shit together and figure out what they want to do with the game aside from making it a builders paradise. The first 100 levels is really good at introducing you into the world of first person mmo's but after that it falls off so hard in terms of game balance and difficulty. This game will NEVER give you a challenge and the existance of fallout first makes the game literally unplayable for anyone who wants to play long term but doesn't want to shell out 12$ a month. The game would have been a perfect playground for a casual version of Destiny 2 if the devs knew what they wanted.
    TLDR: the grind is horrible, there is no lategame, and the entire game is meant for the pay piggies. Feels like a p2w and will try to squeeze every dime out of you.

      Literally unplayable? That's going to come as a BIG surprise to a lot of people I know. (Heck, I opened a second account just to show myself that the F1st stuff, while cool, isn't necessary. If you see Sir Rhosis around, say hi!)

      @@JwhateverJ you do realize people weren't playing it as much before than they are now because of how shitty it was right? If it didn't get updates then it would have most definitely died. Don't try to sound smart when the facts obviously point to you being a dumbass. Also wastelanders is what brang alot of the fans back to the game me included cause It was genuinely starting to look like it was going in a solid direction..until today 💀 but it's still seems like they want to add more things to the game eventually and by the looks of the notes being added every new update they seem to be planning something "hopefully" big storywise.
