I love how GameScents most recent advertising talks about "smelling the gunpowder in Helldivers 2" like that game doesn't feature literally thousands of giant bug corpses
They're just gonna have generic scents. Forest, seaside, octane, gunpowder, smoke/fire. So doesn't matter if a hut in Resident Evil 4 is burning or an office building in Tokio, gonna smell the same. Question is, can you shoot a gun in the forest and smell both?
@@9inchnail The scent of freshly burned sulfur from your gun will outpower the scent of the forest 100% because powder smells a lot, gunpowder is purer but it still smells.

It's been used in supermarkets in the past too. The smell of fresh bread near a bakery isle. Keeping the fish counter away from the front of the shop. Coffee smells near beverages.
Sure, the scents would run empty superfast. And maybe those cartridges will be equally expensive as ink for printers. Or you have to subscribe to their service. They'll find a way to mess it up.
This is because unlike colors, all of which are combinations of red green and blue, there are thousands of components to scent. A good chunk of the human genome is dedicated to different olfactory receptors. It's not practical to have a device that can generate many of them.
Don't worry, they don't literally eat electronics. I don't know why Falcon kept saying that shit and emphasizing it. They're attracted to the warmth that comes from electrical devices and units.

Of course. Has to be generic. Which means all forests, all guns, etc. will smell the same. I put a set on while playing mw3, while I walked through smoke in-game I could smell it. I assumed the mic from the headphones was the reason for it. 1:43 I'm convinced that every Cyberpunk "realistic graphics" modder is a vampire. Every single video I've seen has ZERO sunlight. It always looks not just overcast, but homogeneously overcast, as in all the "lighting" looks exactly the same everywhere. Some of these mods look cool and all, sure, but because such a major aspect (realistic lighting, shadows, reflections, etc.) is missing, they all look super lifeless and just "off" looking. Also, Falcon, it's not that game studios *can't* make their games like this, it's that only people with super high-end computers could *maybe* have a chance to run them. There's a huuuuge difference between pre-rendered footage that takes hours per minute to render (which is most of what you see from these modders) and generating those "realistic" graphics in real-time.
The Embracer story reminds me of the corporate raiders from the 80s/90s. Buy a bunch of companies, shred them up, make a bunch of money, and screw everyone.
GameScent is going to change the post-apocalyptic game experience for sure. A few rotting zombies, or some alien corpses, how about any games that have dead fish, or a "skidrow" area of town, imagine taversing a sewer, etc ...the list could go on.
The only thing that the realistic mods are - are colour mapping. If you notice, everything is exactly the same as in the game - but the colours. Since I'm pretty much obsessed with Starfield right now, #1 reminded me of heat leeches...
Please, nobody let these electronics-eating ants near any suspicious-looking rare plants that aerosolize their pollen.
Sugar Ants are attracted to the electro magnetic fields and heat that electronics put out. Which is why they go after coffee makers, etc since those typically get left on 24/7.
Ants infested my housemate’s clock radio (remember those?) they had built a nest in there. We got rid of them by putting the clock radio in the freezer for a couple of weeks, and then shaking out the dead ants. It was weird.
I rolled my eyes too when he mentioned embracer group. nobody's shocked corporate burned everything to the ground
All The Cooking Games would be driving Me crazy if I could actually smell the delicious food. 😋
I really want to get my hands on Indika. My laptop unfortunately really needs updating because I couldn't get the demo to work (same for Herbert Halibut). They are the first set of demos of indies of a size that i thought that would run that don't. Regardless both look fantastic. The style of both look incredible. I love a unique art style and they both have it in spades.
By the time they both come out I'll hopefully have upgraded. Or both will come out on Xbox or PS5 which would be much cheaper for me. Microsoft and Sony should definitely do that just for my convenience obviously.
