This minigame has looked a lot better throughout the years, and it’s actually one of my favorite luck-based minigames. I love this minigame, I can definitely understand why people hate this one though.

My favourite one is definitely the original, but I love the randomised wait times in Superstars. Makes it so much more suspenseful, especially when playing online or with friends. The praying is pretty funny too.

The unspoken rule of this minigame is that you can't pick the same color as your guy.

We have to admit that Mario and Luigi got incredibly unlucky in Mario party 2 because they failed on their FIRST round

I feel the one from 2 does the intensity of this game the most justice. The time between activation and detonation is long enough without feeling too drawn out, the countdown is fairly quick giving you hardly anytime to come to terms with your loss, and most importantly, the music completely stops, making you wait in complete silence to see if you've just been screwed out of a crap ton of coins! Every other version gets one of these things wrong IMHO.

Triple B didn't belong in MP4 since the countdown was slow and the timer to pick a pump is 5 secs instead of 10

I’m not so keen on the Mario Party 4 version, as the music doesn’t stop when you press the switch, which completely removes the feeling of suspense.

What I hate of this kind of mini games it's that you depend in a 100% of RNG (RNG is random number generator, in this game, RNG decides if the bomb Explodes on your face,or it just lets some fume out, all based on the number of Levers) these games are just pure luck

I'm glad Daisy won in the top 100 after losing in previous titles, the minigame was unfair since she was last and only had a 1/2 chance instead of 1/4 or 1/3

I love this mini game it’s a great challenge and my favorite version Mario party 4 I love when you get it explodes with confetti

mp2: 9/10. being a kid and getting this game means i was hiding under the covers when i pressed a switch.
mp4: 3/10. music doesn't stop, countdown is too slow, just no sense of suspense.
mptt100: 7/10. retains the original style and it has a pretty big blast. just a bit lacking in the music and graphics though.
mps: 100000/10 WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK
The only redeeming quality that 4 has, is that the explosion is a little more violent looking than the others. All the others have a cartoony explosion, but in 4 it looks like it would kill them.
@@CeriphShinolasuperstars definitely feels the slowest, especially how long it can take between the “safe” animation and the character’s relief.
FOUR versions of this minigame?! That's four too many.
A weird thing I found is that the character who is going to gamble if they will fail doesn’t even run when it gets activated.
