A review for one of my favorite delicious fragrances. This is my A Lab On Fire What We Do In Paris Is Secret review. A Lab On Fire seems to be an under-the-radar indie niche brand with excellent scents and one of my favorites from A Lab On Fire is What We Do In Paris Is Secret. An Oriental Heliotrope or Oriental Floral, Fruity Floral, Gourmand fragrance. I've been wearing What We Do In Paris Is Secret for a good 4 years now and onto my second bottle. And couldn't be happier with this fragrance especially now that we are in fall and winter around the corner, What We Do In Paris Is Secret will be perfect to wear in the cooler seasons. Sounds like a wonderful fragrance to me. I love gourmands and the heliotrope notes sound like they add a very nice touch to this. Powdery almond notes sound gorgeous. It is a very good sign of the high quality of this since you are on your second bottle now. This house is new to me. Thank you for your reviews!
I love this line as well! So glad you’re giving it some love. This was the first scent I tried from them & I loved it from the start. I thought I didn’t like powdery fragrances before trying this, but I loved how it was done here. I get all of the notes you talked about when I wear it, but I find them so well blended that I just feel surrounded by a pretty, cozy comfort scent that’s so addictive - I feel like there are some days that I need to wear it to keep myself sane & grounded. I also love And The World is Yours. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase during the limited release & will be repurchasing once they put it back out. It’s neroli, orangey, almost caramelly on me but it’s the first perfume that made me realize that I - like you - really dig cumin. It’s not like BO. It actually gives me the feeling like I just woke up from a long & heavy nap. I’m still clean, but a little lived in. As I heard Katie Puckric so aptly put it once “it gives the perfume a bridge to the skin.” You must try if you haven’t already!

I really enjoyed the samples I received a couple of months back. I tried Paris LA and thought it was too sweet for my taste. But this house is super solid. I just wish their pricing was better. Great review!

I love this fragrance - very sweet and ambery
One of my top feel-good 'fumes and my absolute favorite from this house; some of the love comes from the fact that is the better, more sophisticated version of my first perfume obsession (smelled it in a vial, didn't know what it was, chased it for 6 years before I found it, y'all know the drill)- Le Bain from the German house of Joop!.
I love this fragrance! I knew already “ California Snow”from this house, which really smells like snow. Then, I tried “what we do in Paris is a secret”, the name is just perfect; and it is also a gorgeous gourmand scent ! It is on my list! Just beautiful!

Never heard of this line. Lychee has a distinctive taste and really sweet to me. I'm interested

Always avoiding powdering fragrances. But many elements you describe sound excellent. Will have to go out to see if there are testers someplace.
I have seen these advertise on Lucky Scent, but have never tried any of their scents. I LOVE gourmands and so I would like to give this one a try. Please do other videos on gourmand fragrances. Maybe have your mom on to talk about other pastry scented fragrances!
Big fan of this house and this scent sounds so intresting but damn i haven't found a powdery leaning scent that i like yet.

A Lab on Fire needs more love as a brand. What We Do In Paris is Secret created a small stir in the fragcomm when it came out in 2012 but the buzz didn't last long which is sad. They have a number of other offerings like California Snow that are definitely worth a sniff. As I love gourmands I have a very small decant of this that I am hoarding. A bottle would be fantastic! For some reason I can't seem to win anything in the cafleurebon giveaways. Oh well, great review anyway!
I tried this one when it came out and I loved it. But instead of buying it, I bought Atelier Cologne's Rose Anonyme. I know you love Rose Anonyme, too. ( Because I've been binge watching your videos)
Love your content...yes, a bit late to the party! I've been binge-watching you of late-I've gotten several samples of What We Do.... and love it. Not sure why I have not bought a full bottle. Think I will now. I think it smells sexy and yes "yummy". Close to the skin scent. The only thing I do not like is the bottle! Great review.

I like the name. The secret part makes it sound naughty and if it’s naughty I assume it smells alluring. I have not tried Lab On Fire but I’ll try to now that I know about it. I’ve loved every fragrance I’ve smelled containing honey so this sounds like a winner.
The only fragrance I have of Dominique Ropion is Portrait Of A Lady and it’s one of my signature scent. Would be very interesting to see how lychee plays out in this.
Remember Dominique added a fruity note in Portrait Of A Lady as well. There's raspberry in POAL! :)

Not a fan of fragrances with names like this, by killian is the worst offender in that regard. Comes across tacky to me. Brevity is the soul of wit especially when naming things
