Hi! Brent from Little Dunmow here! Ordered a kit and I'm excited to learn!
Such an underrated artist. What a shame! You deserve much more than this! Thanks for inspiring me to start learning calligraphy, sir! Much love from Poland
@@ScribalWorkShop I was actually looking for your channel rn cuz I forgot the name. Than you answerded me and now I can cantinue to watch your vids!
You know what's funny, learning caligraphy would have helped SO MUCH when I was little learning to write for the first time. My handwriting was so attrocious they wouldn't let me use a pen until I was 10. And they knew I wasn't the slow kid either.
Really helpful series, I keep coming back to this video for practice! Thanks a lot!
Several questions regarding this sort of work: can one use a fountain or dip pen in a similar manner? Do the foundational strokes change? Are there any resources for a bare beginner who has merely learned his letters and is now equipped with one of your fountain pens and a bottle of your ink?
You can use a broad edge fountain pen, or a dip pen with a chisel end. If you want to use a regular nib fountain pen, you can do all the same strokes, but it looks very different. It still looks attractive though.
this is exactly what ive been looking for but didnt have the words to be able to search the internet for. thanks and i'll consider becoming a patron!
I'm glad it helped, I am hoping to make more videos on medieval hands, but haven't had time yet.
