When i purchased Elysium , to be honest i liked it but didn't love it and felt the performance was a bit sub par....but my son wore it to a wedding yesterday and it smelled amazing in the air around him and i could still smell it when he arrived home in the evening so perhaps i go nose blind when wearing it myself ? 🙂 Another great review matey.
It's funny when a fragrance does this....when you think it's gone, but it's just that I've gone nose blind to it (in truth it makes me sad). If I ever loose scent to my perfume I always ask those around me if they can smell it and 99.9% of the time the answer is 'yes'. On the flip side, I love how a perfume smells so different on me versus how it smells on my sons...it makes me feel that these fragrances adapt to our own natural scent; gives the fragrance a new dimension. Good to hear from you Chris, thanks for reaching out👊🏽

Great choice on the Elysium Robbie, I am a big fan and for me it's very different to Aventus....and as you can see it drew Tash's interest straight away! Thanks again for your comments and support
If Torino 21 could add a metallic note and drop some of that feminine shampoo floral aspect man that thing would be insane. Don’t know why I thought of that watching this
Funny as I'm reading your comment; I quickly looked at "which episode is this..?" 😂 I love how your brain thinks, and even more that you actioned on the thought by sharing that on this episode 💪🏽🫡 Thanks for jumping into the conversation @hershilparekh8654
Hi @Reza R, I have tried it but I don’t own it, so not sure how the 2 will perform against each other. However, being that the Parfum has a higher concentration of oils, I’m going to say that it will smash the ‘Cologne’ version. I know that the ‘Cologne’ version has a more of a citrus opening and from memory the dry downs on both were similar. I selected this version only based on price. I wanted to ‘own’ a Roja and at the time, this is where my budget took me😬 The mission is to start owning the ‘big dog’ versions of the Roja collection🤑 Thanks mate, great to hear from you
Would of loved to have got a reaction from the dry down instead of the first spray. Fragrances always take time to develop as we all know and rarely smell the same in the opening and are often more harsh.
I certainly get the comparison between Elysium and Aventus, but Elysium doesn’t have any sort of pineapple note. I’ve always found Elysium to have a lot more common with Mont Blanc Explorer in this regard.
@A.Vaidya You're right the bergamont is very fruity and tart in explorer then very woody dry down due to the crisp vetiver.Honestly neither of these are worth the price cheaper designers do the same job.Only niche freshie that's worth it is Cedrat Boise Intense if you have none of this style.
I'm a little late to this, but for me what gives Elysium an edge is that the fruit and citrus extend deeper into the lifecycle of the wear compared to Aventus. From my bottle and a separate decant, Aventus' pineapple disappears really quickly. And what's left in the Aventus drydown is that "pencil shavings and lead" woody/smokey accord that I don't particularly like so much. But what is apparent is that Elysium took its inspiration from Aventus. Roja Dove can't deny that.
Hey there @James Thomas, never late my friend! Love your feedback and further expansion to this conversation. I do love the way you've defined it; and would have to agree.
Shout out from Australia🙌🏽 Awesome to be connecting from all around the world on the love for niche perfumery🥰 I can see that you're a 'true believer' with Aventus...good for you man! Thanks for watching @Daniel Ribeiro, appreciate the comments and connection
how exactly do you find out what batch a bottle is? I've heard people saying that there are batches which doesn't last at all and obviously if I am paying that much for a perfume I want the best batch
Aventus and Elysium are both great! However, I found Elysium is lacking performance after the first 1h. It is a skin scent! Do you have the same issue? Can people still smell Elysium on you after 3-4h? Out of these two, which would win in terms of projection and performance? Thanks for your videos!:)
Funny, I've heard a few people comment the same thing on this thread (or in another video I did on Elysium). I don't find that for me. It stays on me comfortably for 7+ hours. I'd be interested to know if others around you can smell the fragrance. I have a few perfumes, where I've become anosmia to that fragrance, yet those around me can actually smell it...not sure why this happens?? The temptation is to overspray, but as mentioned I've discovered that it's best to ask those around me first🤔 Out of the 2 (Elysium or Aventus) I find that for me Aventus projects better and creates a much strong sillage. Thanks again Ivan for your comments and support👊🏼
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you for your answer! I tried Aventus and Elysium on both hands and after 3 h one person said that Aventus was projecting better, however he could still smell Elysium, but it was very weak. When it comes to the first hour- Elysium is the winner for me, but on the “long distance” I would say Aventus is better, because people can smell it! Have a great day!🙂

I actually like both, they work well in different occasions. It was interesting to see which one Tash picked from the scent profile. I find that most women prefer Elysium
Yes you’re right not a true blind test. In fact it was a “first time smell” to these two fragrances. Tash had never smelt them before, so she was choosing based on her first time experience of these. I’ll do another lineup, and this time round I’ll make sure that the candidate does not see the fragrance in advance Thanks for reaching out @ripped up appreciate the comments

Yes, it's not as strong as Aventus, but I'm still happy with the millage that I get out of Elysium. I normally get about 5-6 hours on this fragrance....what about for you?
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I am note sure, I have just sample, I tried it just on my hand, the longevity was good but the projection was weak, I have to give it more try, maybe I don’t have a good sample.
