- This movie is based on the life and work of Amannisahan who is a writer,poetess,musician and queen of the Yarkend(Yeken) Uyghur kingdom in 16th century. Educated by her father, a distinguished musician of his time, and supported by her husband Abdurishithan,the king of Yarkend Uyghur kingdom, she devoted her life to the collection and promotion of Uyghur music/Uyghur 12 muqam.

It is movie about a famous Uyghur queen Amanisahan who collected Uyghur folk music around Kashgar-Yarkend-Hotan region in 16th Century and organized them into a music suit we call 12 Muqam today.This is a musical about that history.
but she never been a queen, and she never has created 12 mukams, this myth was created by CCP, real author is Abd ar-Rashid Khan

There are uygyurs living in india i.e in Kashmir and Ladakh but they are now mixed with locals

Mugam, or Maqom, or Makam is traditional to many Turkic and non-Turkic nations. For Uzbeks and Tajiks it is Maqom and is based on traditional Uzbek and Persian poetry. Azerbayjan has its own as well. We are all brothers. It is not a reason to argue about. It is a reason to realize our unity as one family.
