Fun fact, India just planted 250 Million trees in a single day. India's National Thermal Power Corporation is building the single largest Solar Power Plant in the world with an output of 4.75 GW. Not Megawatts. Gigawatts.
This is more than double of the current world's largest Solar Power Plant: The 2.25 GW Bhadala Solar Power Plant which is also in India.
None of this comes close the planned world's largest solar-wind power plant, again in India: The 28 GW Kutch Power Plant (yes 28, not 2.8). This will be the record holder for decades.

In Australia, our outback which is the desert is the size of half of Europe and only 15000 people live there and even they are very sparsely populated.
We can build as many nuclear plants as possible, in Australia or elsewhere in nearby SE Asia and then ship the nuclear waste to Australia so that we can store it forever because it is basically unliveable there already.
We can ship the excess electricity from any nuclear plants in Australia to other countries like Singapore, Indonesia, etc and maybe even China.
An undersea cable is already being installed to ship solar energy from Australian outback to Singapore.

The video very cleverly talk about total emissions instead of talking about per capita emissions in various of the above parameters. This is where Europe will have to take a major beating due to very low population when compared to these countries and not so low emissions when compared to these countries.

Honestly, if we're going to comment on the inaction of Oligarch ran governments that have zero interest in not squirreling their oil and gas money away on tax heaven islands - then why aren't we commenting on the economic _"freedoms"_ that allow such exploitation to occur? It's a global exploitation and consumption problem that's larger than any contemporary engineering solution - because everyone thinks that they have to look out only for themselves.

      There will always be meat.
The issue is that there always has to be an excess of supply into the market place. If a cow goes to slaughter a day too late, the change in market value becomes too great for the farmer to expend.
Don't we think that it's the giant supermarkets who depend heavily on their business competing and cost cutting against their equally giant competitors?

May I just state that the USA is one of the words biggest consumer of meat in the world and as such has no right to advise china on its consumption on meat, and even so you should ask how the USA would deal with an additional 208 million people being dumped on there country.

  • @connecticutaggie
    @connecticutaggie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

One of the concerns I have about the US's traditional approach on Emissions is to tax the US producers is that it will drive those industries outside the US (primarily to China) where emissions are worse thus having a negative effect on Emissions rather than a positive one.

I was hoping you'd eventually give a meaningful context to the emission-ranking, like how much of China's high emissions are directly tied to the countries consuming the products from Chinese factories.
Omission of that obvious factor alone (but there were more), makes the sum of information in this video quite vacuous in the end.
There's absolutely no "we" in this vid, even though that's how you frame it. Just the charade that "we" are working together is propagated, when it's mostly the awesome work of authorities who got us here in the first place.
I know that in text, I probably sound abrasive, but that's only because I'd really expect this channel to evolve beyond merely conveying information, in a manner that's tantamount to mental-masturbation.
There's lots of channels doing this facts-without-context strategy, that it's easily misleading people. I'd like to see this channel do better.

America is the second largest co2 emitter China over 10 billion tons USA over 5 billion tons that means the average American produces 2 and quarter tons more co2 than the average China man. Per capita. so really the USA is the biggest problem in terms of environmental responsibility.

Those who more pollute are those who less care about it, you cannot fight against something like this until they themselves will consider to contribute to the fight... but forget about it, the P.I.B rules! In an age of economic war you talk about pollution? I like nuts! hahahahhahaaaa!

Acts 1:7 ..........known only to God
True Christians in God’s one true Church are informed about the really big news occurring around the world today and what is about to unfold, because God reveals it through Bible prophecy. On the other hand, Acts 1:7 shows that some specifics concerning “the times or the seasons” is known only to God. Matthew 24:36 is a good example: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
But God does want us to realize: When they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them! God says, They shall not escape. He will suddenly intervene in world affairs. The Phillips translation states, “Catastrophe will sweep down upon them as suddenly and inescapably as birth pains to a pregnant woman” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
All this occurs at a time when people are saying, “Peace and safety!”
The world is and will be in ignorance and doubt of prophecies like Psalm 83, in disbelief of and disobedience toward God, His leader and His Church. It is in the dark

You fail to grasp the significance of the changes you propose. You are indicating that I should stop eating meat; use light bulbs that actually hurt my eyes in all forms presently available; yield my independence to some connected vehicle, which is more expensive than my extant (paid-off) car and is reliant upon a power grid; and on and on just so that some jackhole can pump out a dozen kids. I am unwilling to do that. And, by the way, migratory birds are negatively impacted by the magnetic field lines created by wind power. As I recall, birds actually have a magnetic protein in their eyes that allows them to perceive the field lines, and those generated by turbines throw migratory birds off course. So, jog on kiddo.
