I like that the Prius driver was aware of your presence and waited for you to pass before turning. So many drivers are just oblivious. I’m actually a car driver and haven’t cycled in years, but I see so many near misses.
Looking back into the 90s, London has changed a lot when it comes to bike lanes/highways/cycleways. I don't recall any of them back in those days, well I am not sure about central London, maybe there were some/few? I usually rode my bike outside of Zone 1, but spent lot of time in central London as a pedestrian and I don't recall bike lanes like there are now. What are your observations looking back in the past?
Nice to see just a normal commute! I think it's important to see how calm and safe it is to cycle across town. I think people assume it's all loud and full of cars. But I reckon these days most commutes in inner London will be mostly quiet and delightful like this one. We hardly ever have to interact with cars! And when we do it's often like at 5:10 where they're in our way, not the other way around.
Can't speak for Pacific Cyclist. But I definitely cycle in when it's rainy. It's fine for me because dress for it and I have a shower at work. The only reason I ever don't cycle is if I know I'll be having drinks after work, and then on the 1 or 2 days a year where there's frost.

how many kilometer do you cycle?
why don't you enter Hyde Park from Exhibition Road but you take a right before?
Pythagoras theorem
Even on rainy days?
