Infact I don't know how to appreciate you for this my friend's music that I've been searching for, for a long time. Can you get me, "APOLA FANTASIA". Good job, keep it up.
This is very serious in terms of lyrics and sequential arrangements. This was way back in the early 70's ,when music was not about rubbish and noise making.Baba, many thanks. A.A (Manchester)
Egba Alake thank you for uploading this song, it reminds me those days in the 70's, we use to rock Apola and Tunde Olorode in mokola ibadan , first of its kind , God bless you Idowu Animashaun.
Beautiful Beautiful memories...May God bless u abundantly for posting one of Apola king's hit....it brings back memories of my Dad.....this is his joint right here!!!
Let's not forget Apola...ijo olola, ijo olowo, ijo to gbo de....One of the best ever....oh what a life. How can PLEASE BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD SOME OF THESE MUSIC? Please re-think the posting..if we need to pay, some of will..maybe all of us will. Thank You.
Thank God for Idowu Animashaun's competition with Sunny and Obey especially in repertoires and on Hawaii guitar. He is one of earliest exponents of 'Jelenke' juju style.
Animashaun was 3 steps ahead.interms of Arrangements and Delivery.Sunny has the mentality of competing with Obey for attention amongst the elites who loved Obey.Sunny s lyrics are vengeful and STAGE Persona was.appealing to the lower classes who want to be seen .Sunny to me was Mutton dressed as Lamb and was.pitied for overperformance as a Gate crasher. He had his successes amongst his clan but to me i.could do without the Hoopla he attracts to himself. His wardrobe was pathetic and one never knew the sort of people who will be dragged into his fashion sense.Tanx
Ok, EgbaAlake, Omo'Lisabi, here's a challenge. I've been looking all over the Internet for a particular Animashaun recording from the late 70s/early 80s. It was very much atypical for Idowu Animashaun - funky western instrumentation with very good guitar works. One of the tracks went something like "aiye 'mo 'Lisabi e pa'ra po, agba pelu ewe..." You'll make my YEAR, if you can find and post this. Another track I remember is "jobele mo o" which our mom hated us listening to in our teenage years. Blessings!
Am a juju lover the first time I heard his music I love it....this is real juju vibes...it's painful juju reign no more these days.
Evergreen❤
