We have had great performance with our older design TE 3000, especially by using the correct point placement suggested by HILTI, see video: th-cam.com/video/rD7rza-t_yc/w-d-xo.html If the chuck security lever is folded backward (as in your November 15 video) the breaker point has limited travel inside the chuck. In our experience, with the incorrect chuck use you have demonstrated with Version I, the piston rod fails with less hours of use than when the lever is folded upward or toward the motor.
It looks like old standard chisels will not be compatible with new lock as they do not have holding grooves.
