I feel like this song expresses the clarity there is after its over and everything is revealed, (realizing who told the truth, who lied, seeing how you got played for a fool, thus the circus theme) almost like saying "so this is how it is"

I'm here after i voted kanna, i couldn't even look, i didn't even choose her, I've cried so much at both naos and kannas final moments, it was paintfull,,
YTTD might be the greatest piece of literature of all time. The juxtaposition between hope and despair, the characters and their growth, the story, and the fucking music are all amazing. This game and its story move me more than most games and this was made in RPG maker. Nankidai sensei truly understands how to capture an audience.
still as a game it's not perfect, with the gameplay basically being a worse danganronpa, which is already a worse ace attorney. still, as a death game story this is still the best out there, nothing comes close. the emotions and intensity are made so real through the characters and unpredictable plot

For most, this caries memories for Joe. But for me, it carries memories of Gin. Right when you choose to shove the fake Reko down the hole. The scene of Gin crying and in pain while this song plays is the memory its holds for me.
To me, it plays in my head to every death. Every broken smile before dying. It's just... pure suffering. This song is beautiful but hurts so much. I think this is even worst since we give it a signification, right ? What if we have listened to this song without knowing what it was really about...?
whats kinda funny is that the game is programmed under the assumption that everyone will spam the button, but i just wanted joe's death to be quick and painless, so i didnt press it. that meant that for a while my immersion was completely broken cause the game kept going "HAH youre a terrible person who prolonged joe's death!!" when i literally just sat there and did nothing lol
yeah it would be great if they added in an alternate scene where she says something like "you didn't even try to save him; he could have survived but you gave up already"
True that does create room for dissonance. But overall i think the decision was sound since, it fits Sara's character and most players who play blind would more than likely press the button.

@@therealcemi Okay, so I know I didn't expand on what I meant by "not dead" but the theory is: when you lose about 40-50% of your blood you lose consciousness. So he may have very well lost his consciousness rather than die. Because you don't just "die" after losing that much blood. Sure you go into a critical condition which if not medically treated in a short amount of time can lead to your death. The theory was that the person on the drip behind the window on the first floor was Joe. Because we never saw where the bodies which died were taken to after the executions. He still had time to live basically and it would make sense if they put him on a drip to save him giving off the impression that he's dead to Sara. Now I don't wanna give spoilers but the reason why I say that is because of Ch3 B spoilers QwQ

That's why they would save him and not Kai because he betrayed them by trying to spoil the truth to Sara. But yeah that's just a lil bit of the theory, I actually have another theory too for Hinako being the one on the drip if Joe is actually dead but yeah just my op. Sorry for the paragraphs lol
Here is my own understanding of why this song is called clown's song: The main trial function is sort of similar to the mafia card game, especially because of the roles. The commoners and villagers are normal people without any special powers or abilities. If the keymaster is voted out then all participants get killed. If all the mafia members are voted out then no more killing will happen. Both situations resulting for the game to ultimately end. The sage can reveal who the keymaster is while the detective can reveal who the villagers or mafia are. Last but not the least, The sacrifice and the jester both win if they are voted out. This song played when Joe is revealed to be the sacrifice, the jester of the first main game.

as much as no one wants to admit this, miley was right all along the time, and joe couldn't be saved, and we just helper her giving joe a painful death, when the tubes sucked out the blood out of joe's body, that button just made the process go slower, but not painless, so the tubes kept straight up sucking the blood out of joe's body, until he died.
