MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS is a heartwarming coming of age story that follows fifteen-year-old Manhattanite Jackie Howard after losing her family in a tragic accident. Jackie leaves behind her privileged and proper life in New York and moves to rural Colorado to be with her guardian - her mother's best friend, Katherine, who is raising ten kids with her husband, George. While settling into her new, chaotic countryside home, Jackie is determined to stay focused on her dream of getting into Princeton...all while wrapping her head around her feelings for two very different Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole. As Jackie tries to navigate her new life, the feelings and tensions she tries to deny threaten to throw everything off course. Will she be able to stay true to herself and still find romance?

Oh and i will have to disagree with the team choosing- team cole all the way!!! First i was team alex cause of the same reasons isaac mentioned but then during the series I realised alex eyes were telling “i love you jackie” while coles eyes were SCREAMING “You mean everything to me jackie”

some people dont choose based on interactions but on the persons themselves (myself included), and alex has proven that he s way less problematic than cole hence to why isaac also chose him
@@yeonderella13 I don’t view Cole as the “bad guy” and Alex as the “good guy” so I don’t agree. Even based on their character I would rather Cole than Alex. Cole has his wrongs but his behavior is a result of the accident he had. This doesn’t justify how he acted but it helps to understand where he’s coming from. (A lot of the other characters spoke on how different Cole has been since the accident too). Plus he shows growth toward the end. As for Alex, he’s only nice to Jackie, which is the bare minimum considering he likes her. But he isn’t nice to anybody else. To me, a nice person doesn’t get to pick and choose who they’re nice to. They just are. The way Alex acted towards Cole was a massive turn off especially because he didn’t have any concrete reason to. The whole Paige thing was a misunderstanding where Cole wasn’t even responsible because he didn’t know. The reasons behind his animosity towards Cole was him literally saying he leaves behind Cole’s shadow, he’s the cool one…(very superficial and nothing that actually justified such animosity toward a sibling). Plus he always had a negative comment to say about Cole…so at surface value it’s easy to just view Cole as your typical bad guy and Alex as the sweet, nice one but the actions don’t always reflect that
@@TOJ_Edits i totally get what you say and i have to agree w the first part, but nothenless the fact that alex is insecure does not make him superficial, his reasons are just as valid as cole's...and abt the paige thing, i dont think he was necessarily mad anymore, i think he just got triggered when he saw cole w jackie and y'all can say whatever you want but he IS right about cole (i dont think i have to remind you about the fact that cole betrayed him AGAIN, this time obv knowing about his relationship with jackie)...uk, feeling like you live in your brother's shadow and being frustrated abt it is not smth you can control, but consciously stealing your brother's gf just shows how he doesnt respect alex at all and just lets his emotions take over without even trying to draw the line...he shouldve left jackie alone the moment they got together but no. And also i dont think alex was nice to jackie only? like bro was actually nice to everyone and when him and kylie had issues he immediately apologized and took responsability of his actions (so thats not an argument), meanwhile cole just let his trauma get the best of him and treated everyone like shit including his parents and will...he could not give a shit about the fact that he might hurt the people who care abt him (including erin) because he s just that self centered to focus on his issues only, as if not everyone has got their owns...like have you seen lee and isaac behave like this even tho they clearly have got issues and traumas bcs of their father (one suffering more whereas the other one trying his best to be emotionless and confident yet lowkey failing miserably)...have you seen jackie being a bitch after her whole family died? (like ok she is one for cheating on alex but that has nothing to do w her trauma imo)...have you seen will disrespect his parents when they couldnt afford the wedding or just play with everyone's emotions after him and his fiancee almost divorced after years of being together? ofc everyone has different coping mechanisms but the way you cope with your own issues lowkey shows what kind of person you are, and even if you are weak you could be weak but kind or shitty af.
as for alex saying those stuff to cole...it was not right and i think thats genuinely the only thing that threw me off, but he knew it was wrong and apologized...did cole apologize after telling alex that "they all come to him in the end"? i dont think so, and he s done the exact same thing (used alex's traumas to win an argument)...then yall wonder why alex still had beef w cole...idk maybe bcs he always acted like he was superior to him?
@@yeonderella13 I just can’t agree! How is it Cole’s fault that Alex is insecure? And yes you can learn to control it. And to me it is superficial because what exactly has Cole done to him? (If Cole had taken his place in a competition, or burned his books, I could see where he’s coming from) but to have such animosity toward your brother because you feel like you love in his shadow or that he has it easy isn’t on Cole nor is it on Cole to fix it for him. Alex needs to reflect on his jealousy and learn to manage his insecurities. Plus Alex doesn’t even have a relationship with Cole to even know what’s going on in his life. He makes assumptions ( some which are true but the tone and manner on which he says it is disgusting) and directly believes the worst of Cole. Like damn is it your enemy or brother at this point? What type of brother is that? Hell what type of “good guy” is that? And if you rewatch the episode properly Alex literally holds a grudge against Cole because of the whole Paige thing so no it’s not about just being triggered. We literally learn about it from the perspective of Cole stole Paige. When Alex finally speak to Paige, he doesn’t even go as hard at her meanwhile she’s the one that cheated. Jackie kissed Cole (no matter how people want to see it) That whole ending scene Cole doesn’t move until Jackie makes the first move - granted he kissed her back (but watch Alex have more smoke for Cole than he does Jackie in S2 like with Paige). Cole has his wrongs don’t get me wrong but acting like Alex is the nice and innocent one and Cole is this big bad wolf is just a lie. I disagree. Alex and Cole both knew the other one was interested in Jackie since the beginning so expecting no risk to come from it is foolish on their part. The way all three (Jackie, Cole, and Alex) handled this situation is on all three of them.
