All final fantasy end bosses are incredibly easy if you grind long enough, but they tend to be incredibly hard if you just make a b line right for em.

There's actually two of them in the original NES game and the Origins version, watching the heroes own everything with them would make for some gold. XD

I liked FFII as well. I was always really impressed with how FFII decided to make an entirely new world, battle system, characters, and story instead of just copying and pasting FFI over again. Also, the Emperor is an awesome, underrated villain. Anyway, it's always nice to see a parody from someone who actually played this game. The jokes were great, especially the part about raising your HP, lol!
The versions I played had a short game at the end where the guys who died have to fight the emperor's heavenly form. I guess RABtoons did not want to go through the trouble of that and skipped it.
I love the line of warriors from other game franchises that is coming to join the cause and also the ending: "We have been grinding like crazy and maxed out our stats!" :)

I had the opposite problem with characters dying when playing FF2 on GBA. I gave them terrible equipment in the main game, and when I got to Soul of Rebirth, I had a very difficult time surviving.
A punishment for those that had already beaten the original before and thought the game was too easy. I never actually beat the Soul of Rebith part. It frustrated me so I took a break, and before I had gotten back to it I bought my ps4 and got lost in Hollow Knight.

I didn't realize that they added stuff when I played it. I made sure to reclaim all my equipment from characters before they died in the story. I didn't really make it far in the soul of rebirth part. It's hard to make progress with characters that have no armor, no weapons, and no fist proficiency. What a mistake it was to have Joseph use weapons. I was trying to challenge myself at a game I've already beaten... I was unprepared for challenging myself at the part I'd never played before.
He shouldn't cry about the decent armor he gave Joseph if he's from the what's arguably the best version - the GBA Dawn of Souls one. In it, you go to a neither realm or some such place in an epilogue and you meet the spirits of your fallen team. The equipment you had on them will still be there and the enemies are at a difficulty that roughly reflects what they should have. BUT if you're like me, knew the older version from a previous release (in my case Final Fantasy Origins on the PlayStation), you got upset just like that on the video when they died and you ost their equipment. So you learn that whenever you beat a boss with a new party member, you should unequip all they have because they are about to leave or die. So I did. And when I met the spirits in the epilogue they were all completely unequipped and I had to play through the entire game over again a long time later to do the epilogue because I couldn't get anywhere in it with no equipment.
Matt Morgan i learned the hard about that extra dungeon, cause i after i played the ps1 version, i took the good equipment off them! Lol i went through hell!

I found that using the unarmed skill was the best way to handle that. That skill is broken at mid level. It takes top tear gear to out pace it.
