I read a news article about South Carolina getting snow and how happy you folks were. Also, a woman was so thrilled she woke up her senior dog at midnight just so he could experience ‘snow’. I laughed and of course I thought of you Mitch. Sending my love ❤

As a 64 year old, I, for one, was thrilled I kept opening my door looking for it. Where I'm at, we got a dusting, and that's alright by me, now bring on spring

Good morning Mitch. Awesome Presentation 👍🏻 ECMWF 5:38 - 6:30 something we have to wacth. Severe weather is possible for the Northeast. 7:30 😮 the storm system. GFS 10:13 -11:11😮. 20:41😮😮. You're right Mitch we're going to have severe for the Northeast. This video has helped me, Thankyou. Have a great Day.

I wouldn’t say severe in the northeast. I’m in jersey so I’m familiar with these fronts from cutter systems. May bring local downpours and get windy but I can’t see real severe from this setup. Possible for sure though just have to see how warm it gets

Well I didn’t say severe weather in the Northeast, I said mainly Winter storms.

I really believe winter is not over yet and I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all get snow before this season is over.😊🙏 Thanks for your prayers on behalf of my wife’s mom and sister. They have arrived safely out here in the Tampa, FL area from Oklahoma. Please for my parents to be able sell their house in Oklahoma so that we can all be close together out here in Florida. Thanks. Anything my wife and I can pray about for you and your family?

That one model run looked good for a snow in northern IL.! We only can miss so many 😂 you mentioned 10mb line with the polar vortex way up there like the moon!😂 your killing me ..at the equator temps warm up to -208° without sunlight and no atmosphere to trap heat. At the poles where permanently shadow craters it cools down to -410° now when sun's out it can warm up nicely to +250° so don't forget your sunblock!⛱️🔥clear skies as many stars will be out both today and night so that's my moon cast today.🌝 back here at home thankyou Mitch fur the detail look at our weather. Have a blessed weekend🌎🎛🐈❄️

You were mentioning the March that it snowed three Wednesday’s in a row. That was 1960 the 2nd, 9th and 16th. There was measurable snow on the ground for 15 days that month, something like 20 record lows and record low maximum temperatures. One of them was so big that even by the following Sunday the roads were still hazardous and the ground was completely covered. They missed so many days of school that they had to go on Saturday. This was all in Durham NC but I know it got at least as far south as Lumberton because I know someone who remembered it. Dont forget February of 1973, February of 1979, February and March of 1980, March of 1971. All double digit snowfalls and very cold temperatures

One of the biggest snows we had in Durham was February 28, 1988. They didn’t even have it in the forecast, just rain. At 11:00 pm the night before it was 42. By 6 the next morning the ground was covered and flakes were falling almost as big as half dollars. It stayed 32 degrees the whole time it snowed We had about 6 inches. No matter how great computer models and forecasters are the weather will do what it wants to do. Once they were predicting on Monday the high was going to be 70. This was on Friday. Monday came. We had 6 inches of snow and sleet on the ground, freezing rain which came Monday night. The high that Monday, 26. There is a hand greater than all of us that controls the weather

Climate changes naturally. There could be other factors going on but I'm talking just natural phases. In between coming in & out of Ice Ages, there are smaller every few hundred year changes & even smaller every several decade changes. I believe there are two solid pattern changes in a human lifetime which is why we older people always talk about remembering a very different climate. My grandparents would talk of it being different & I thought, oh, they just remember it wrong. It looks like we were in one pattern or phase from around 1940-82 & then in another phase 40 years but now trending back or to another phase now. It seems there's a drastic change about every 40 years or so. It's like a change of seasons. I doubt winter is over in the South this season. We might be heading to colder winters in the years ahead similar to 1940-82 times.
