I’ve been watching Filipino artists on YT (supposedly, they’re the best), but almost every singer whose performance I’ve seen, especially female singers, belt out tunes, often unnecessarily. It seems the higher the note, the better. Even the venerable Lea Salonga has been belting out tunes of late. Aiza sounds wonderful! I am encouraged that there’s a Filipino audience that appreciates this kind of singing. I had wondered if there’s a place in the Philippine music business for singers who simply sing beautifully without all the bells and whistles. And yes, there is!
