When a reporter on the premier carpet told Maisie Williams Charles Dance said of all the actors he liked working with, Maisie was his favorite, her face lit up like a firefly. Dance is a classically trained actor, while Maisie was in her debut role. Their scenes and chemistry were magic
Jorah was reporting back to King Robert about Dany back in season one-that’s the betrayal the masked lady was talking about. He’s clearly become loyal since then, but he started out betraying her.
Also I love how as soon as she doesn’t want to fuck him they’re like “alright abandon everything you’ve been fighting for, abandon your beliefs, abandon your cause” as if that’s not incredibly pathetic
This was explained already in the show: Jorah betrayed Dany in season 1, because he was working with the crown (Robert Baratheon) to assassinate her to get a pardon for his crime of slave-trading. He got his pardon (message was delivered by a child) shortly before that wine-seller tried offering her poisoned wine to assassinate her.
I notice a lot of reactors forget about this detail. I don't really hold it against any of them because comparably speaking, a LOT of ish goes down in the show. There are so many details and characters to keep up with.
Tywin liked Arya's spirit. That said, he was indeed using her as a food tester. He knows she is high born and is willing to play along, but if he knew she was Princess Arya, as Robb is now King of the North, Arya would have been a huge bargaining chip to win Jaime back.
i respectfully disagree with this idea. i see this comment posted on every video for this episode lately and it isn't a proven fact (as far as i know, i know Arya in the books was not helping Tywin but Roose in this scene - unless D&D mentionef this was their intention, but i haven't seen that either, again i could be wrong). I personally don't believe he was doing that. i mean every meal after that coyld have been poisoned in this theory but he didn't keep on "feeding" her. i just think this theory should be taken with a grain of salt. sure, it's a valid interpretation but so is the other, being he simply offered food to Arya.
@@mamakat114 cool i'm glad i'm not the only one haha... just seems lately it has been accepted as fact but i haven't seen any definitive proof that's what he was doing when offering her the food. to me it's just left to interpretation
@QueenMabx Yeah, I read the books and don't remember that exchange.. I'm pretty sure the show-writers created all of those scenes between Tywin and Arya themselves. To their credit, it REALLY worked 🙃
A day & a half for labor!! My Daughter, I had 54 hours of labor... I was extremely happy when my Son was sideways & had to have a C-section. Thrilled!!!
Tywin tweaking to the fact Arya is highborn 12:01 when Arya used My lord instead of M'lord, she did give herself away but she came back from it when she added that "her mother worked for a highborn lady, who taught her to speak (proper) properly". Arya knew then to purposely slip up on the word "proper" to still give Tywin the impression that yes, she's smart but still of lowborn status, and to make like she was putting on airs.
Yall mighta missed it in earlier episodes as its only like a single scene, but jorah was giving information in the very beginning to king robert and varys, like spying on dany. He’s essentially why they sent that assassin in the first place
Go easy on Jon now. He was leading but admitted he didn’t know where he was and he was in wildling territory, where Ygritte knew very well where they were. The distraction was exploiting his vulnerability to keep him off guard, so she could lead him to her group. Nice moment when you listened to Jaime’s chat with Catlynn. Great episode with you!❤
The double "Wow"...ya'll are in sync! 😎 Great reactions and insights as usual. Ygritte's famous line has been introduced.😊 Oh, and the Battle of the Blackwater is the first of the epic battles! Yeah! 🥳
The thing I love about this show is that characters you love can become ones that you hate and ones you hate can become characters that you love. You'll see.
@@ParchedPinemarten It's not a spoiler, it compliments the writing of the characters, showing they are multifaceted and capable of changing your opinion of them. You’re dense. It is a spoiler. You‘re setting expectations and basically telling them beforehand that these characters will do a 180. You’re taking their genuine surprise when it happens away from them. Smh. The fact that this even needs explaining.
you guys should already know when Jorah betrayed Danaerys, just saying. He spied for the small council, told them she married Drogo and then also that she was pregnant. They sent the wine merchant to kill her because of his info. He got that royal pardon, remember?
Jaimie knew he would be killed by the Karstarks that night. It would likey be torture with how angry and drunk they all were. He said all that provoking stuff hoping Lady Stark would have Brienne kill him quick.
So why did all of Jon's Nights Watch buddies leave him alone with Ygritte? They should have stuck around to make sure he did the deed. Guess they thought he wanted to get some ginger minge before he ended her so they left him to it.
Awesome reaction... You all are hilarious thank you for making me laugh.. Bran and Ricky I ❤it...LMAO.. I want to say that the people that were killed when Daenerys Dragons were taken were X man's household staff and of course Irri one of Daenerys Dothaki handmaidens..and Doreah her other Dothaki hand maiden is missing and presumed dead... The scenes between Arya and Tywin in this Episode are some of my favorites.. The short backstory of Aegon the Conqueror and his 2 Sister-wives Visenya and Rhaenys is amazing. The next 3 Episodes are bangers for real. Peace ✌ and Love❤
You two were at the edges of your seats when Arya was talking to Tywin while eating!! Scary isn't it? Like y'all said, he knows she's high born, but not a Stark.
Jon's a Stark; he's not killing a woman and neither would Robb. He doesn't see her as a "combatant" and he sees it as dishonorable. Actually, great contrast between him and Theon. Theon took off Ser Rodrick's head because he gave into peer pressure and botched it horribly. Jon followed his conscience instead of peer pressure and showed mercy. That shows you how weak Theon is and how strong Jon is.
44:41 This is something I never understood: Jaime WAS right to kill Aerys. Ned was angry at him for standing by while his father and brother were killed. Jaime was like, 15 or 16 years old at that point. Otoh, Ned clearly shows respect and admiration for Ser Barristan Selmy, who also stood by while King Aerys murdered Rickard and Brandon Stark. He was a fully grown adult who didn't do anything at all about Aerys's cruel behavior. Before the rebellion, Jaime questioned the other Kingsguard knights about Aerys's cruelty and abuse of Queen Rhaella. He wanted to know why they weren't protecting her. He was basically told to mind his business. Those are the best things he's ever done, and he's disparaged for disloyalty to his king while others who were better equipped to help didn't do a damn thing. He saved hundreds of thousands of people, but all anyone cares about is that he killed his king. I don't like him, but there are much better reasons to dislike him than that one time he saved tons of people as a teenager.
I love the scenes with Arya and Tywin but font like that they put Tywin in Harrenhall. Its Roose Bolton Arya is cupbearer for in the books. The INSTANT Tywin Lannisister realized he had a highborn girl around Arya’s age posing as a commoner he would have snatched he up and sent for someone who could identify Arya. She would not slip through Tywin’s fingers like that FR.
Tywin had Arya eat the food because he was afraid of being poisoned not out of concern for her. Although he was not the target of the poisoned dart, he thinks he was and that there is a traitor among his men. Theon continues to be a petulant child, Sansa is getting deeper and deeper into a dark place, Cersei now understands that the monster she created in Joffrey is beyond control, the Starks seem to in over their heads, Ygritte is right in saying Jon Snow knows nothing, and Daenarys has gone from making threats to pleading. It just gets better and better. Will Stannis move in and clean the table?
Y'all cracking me up again. Jon Snow is 1) pretty and 2) confounded by women. She's an "experienced" warrior. She's trying to fluster him. She wants him to make another stupid mistake. If she has to fool around with him, why wouldn't she? It's nice to see a woman not afraid to use all the tricks up her sleeve to confuse dudes. And it works. Y'all be really scratching your heads and everything.
