@@goldenblazehikes Yes, getting close to back in the woods. Might be able to convince my wife " I sure could do better with a light backpack setup....." Lol
@@goldenblazehikes My fully loaded pack is over 25 lbs easy probably 30lbs+ with winter gear, I may have to look into getting some gossamer gear like yours, that's nice how the tent fits in the side pocket on the outside.
Thanks Wes. I really like this pack. It is frameless, so feels a bit odd the first time you use it - but find it to be very comfortable and super light.
Hey Steve. I always hang my food when not using the bear can. They make it easy in the Smokies as each site has bear cables. Otherwise I use the old string method and hang it from a limb. Thanks for watching!
Say what size is that pack and how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? I bought a large and im thinking maybe i should have bought a medium. Love the pack none the less
@@jamesking2851 - I'm 5'8 "but my torso is 20.5", I need size L, can you tell me what is the length of the frame for size L? I want to know if I can take it on a plane as carry-on.
2:45 this is what sold me on this gossamer G4-20 backpack. You putting that EE quilt in the bag. I own one too.
Sweet. How do you like it so far?
@@goldenblazehikesI really like it. I have a tendency to sleep cold. It’s a 15 degree goose down. Do you like yours?
Definitely. I always wear a good base layer for when it really gets cold.
Great video! I just got the pack and I love it
Thanks. Hope you enjoy it! Still loving mine too.
The 'Big Three' have become the 'Next Three', because these days most hikers' heaviest thing is their Electricals
5# base weight!!!!! I'm so jealous. Great work getting all things to this point. Definitely takes work to get to this point. thanks for sharing Paul.
Thanks Greg. Hope you are feeling better. 😊

Thanks Tom. Still love the pack, just took it out last weekend. Hope you like it.
13 pound base weight sounds awesome!
No kidding. 30 years ago was carrying 30+. 😂

It's a really small pack and would be really tough for winter, but make a great 3 season bag.
Great video. Really like the looks of that pack

Love the video brother always
Thanks Mook! 😁
capacity is 30+12; Gorilla is 32+18, so it's basically the same size of main compartment. Mariposa is 36+24. Not sure why they do this.
LOL - no idea.
Do you use smell-proof/animal proof bags when not using the bear can while in the SNP or Smokeys?
