Learn the basics of diamond twill. This is a great weave to experiment with. You can do twill on any loom; with a tapestry loom you just need to put on several string heddles.
I have yet to try the string heddles on this loom. Watching you I saw how much easier it is. Have you ever tried the short Texlov heddles? The method in the book looks difficult enough that I haven’t attempted it.

What kind of loom is this
It’s a Cactus Flower table loom. You can get them at Cherry Creek Valley Farms.
Would this work with even warps
It would be a lot harder and it wouldn’t be balanced.

Not yet. String heddles are so quick to make I haven’t tried anything else.
