crystalline is not P2W. even korean do not buy this. every cost for travel is nothing in this game. they cost silver(silling in kor) that you can find in-game. there is dungeon and daily quest that give you 100k silver. and the cost is less than 1k. (and, there is no ship ticket, actually. - you spend silver) the main roll of silver is the barricade for whales. because, you need silver for level-up. you have to play the game for get silver, or you have to pay a lot.(100k silver = 10$) exp is also nothing in this game. because, there is no grind in level-up. this game's level-up is based on quest, not grind. AND, character level is less meaning in this game. you got lv 50 in early of this game. and you can play everything with that level. after that, character level only work as a additional skill points. the main level in this game is "item-level or gear-level" every contents are blocked by item-level. the way to raise item level is upgrade. exp work nothing. (that's the reason that level-up cost silver, upgrade cost silver too) stronghold bonus is also nothing. most of times, you cannot feel that bonus cause the lack of materials. in kor, they just spray 15-day ticket in events. (for marketing, i guess) i already got 5, and use 2 (because there is time limit) even though, i never felt necessity of that. the most helpful parts is additional teleport slots.
@@jcthemager maximum reward of gvg is 350k. that means less than 5k per person. and, you have to change your gear for pvp. most of options for pve did not help in pvp. for example, one of the end game gear set, extinct give you additional crit chance & damage in back/head attack. in pvp, there is no back/head. every option of extinct do not work in pvp. :D

And with their money do you really think they don't have multiple gears? Options are irrelevant if they have +25 and will one shot your +15. Competitive players don't really care that much about rewards, they care for bragging rights and good competition. And card swiping will remove that part of the game. Koreans are lucky because its hard for Chinese whales to enter you're server, unlike in Russian server I once saw the top guild are Chinese whales. Imagine if they will enter you're server. Yes you will dominate them in arenas, which doesn't matter to them. But in GvG they will one shottium and take home that 350K.

the identity of this game is about developing own techniques and cooperate with other players to defeat many bosses this game has. so, being how skillful u r and studying the attack patterns and weakness of boss is this game's main contents. it has lvl system but it is meaningless. when u start the game, u will be following the storylines that this game provides. as soon as u finish the storylines, then u will be automatically at lvl 50 where u can actually dive into main contents, which r boss, raid, dungeons and etc. having strong op item is also meaningless due to its unique lvl system. when u upgrade your gears, your gear lvl goes up and u get stronger. as your gear lvl goes up, the game automatically unlocks new bosses for u to try. u can pay shit tons of money to upgrade your gears and reach at final boss instantly but u will be skipping all the joy of trying unknown boss, studying its patterns and weaknesses, communicating and building teamworks with others. also your gears r obtainable as u defeat bosses in your level. so if im to sum up, its gonna be like gear lvl 1000, u try boss, defeat, then get new items or materials for upgrading your items. u upgrade it, then u reach at lvl 1100. at gear lvl 1100, u try new unlocked boss, get items, upgrade to lvl 1200. this cycle of trial continues till u reach at actual maximum gear lvl. but this game will challenge u with new or stronger boss with updates. ofc u will easy kill bosses at lower lvl raid but reward is greatly reduced for u so its meaningless action. also when u go higher bosses, the game system will automatically adjust your damage and etc. so 1 strongest mofucker killing a boss with 1 hit is impossible. season pass or other payable items r making u upgrade faster for new bosses. however, u will be able to upgrade your items only with in game materials. so paying in this game is not so greatly beneficial. but i paid some money to buy some bikini or costumes so that ma character could be lookin sexy and hot as fuck. which gives me a joy of zoomin into tities abd booties and get satisfied. lmfao
Most of this shit in the founders pack are only useful to boost you up in early levels. Literally the most useful thing in the pack is the pet that auto loot stuff for you. You get one for free at lvl 50, and it's also account bound, so it's useful to have a pet from the get go. The subscription thing is very useless and not even worth the price. Once again, it might be useful when you start playing cause it lets you use portals for free, but at endgame silver means nothing. Literally every quest in the game gives you silver coins. It's the common currency of the game.
I'm pretty sure you can't use pets before you finish the pet quest that gives you the free pet(atleast in the Korean server) If it follows the Korean server the founders pack seems pretty useless other than the 3day head start.
So in other words, stuff you can buy to not grind, but doesnt give you any inherent advantages oyher than that, cuz the combat has me drooling to play it
Yes they will pour silver on you but believe me, you will always short of it. (I've played LA since the open beta in Korea) And the founders pack is just for limited clothes and ride. In this game (at least in korea) Smile Gate never re-launch past limited clothes and rides. So, if you like the look of clothes and rides, you buy it while you can.
Free Pet on Russia at first town as well and you get showered with silver after playing 14 Days I am close to two Million Silver, while constantly using all travel features.

This is something i dont get. Why are people screaming "P2W!!!" when all it does is just speed up your grind to the max iLvl. If you want to spend some money to get there a little faster than someone not paying, so be it. To me it just seems like you'd blow through the content and have nothing to do quicker.
Define P2W I hate P2W games much as anyone else, but seriously, those who spam P2W for Lost Ark is either old geezers or poor people who still thinks all games should take BM of WOW back in 2004ish but they expect better content and quality of services. That 30 day thing just reduces cool downs for house shit and let's you pay less for travel where that doesn't even matter since you get money out the ass. Playing on russian server and the gameplay is absolutely lit. The one criticism I have is that it has SO many dailies and weeklies and all that. And there is an element of p2w. People will tell you that it is "Pay2ProgressFaster", but I feel like they are kidding themselves a bit (sorry!). The caveat to that is that the competitive ranked pvp is totally equalized so P2W doesn't matter there. Anyway just giving my experience please don't crucify me for the p2w comments, ty.
Im afraid amazon will feel a need to "westernize" the game and fuck iy up some way... and no ammount of community outrage is going to budge them... I really hope I will be proven wrong. They have already done some things that make me feel a little iffy.. ppl just run past most enemies because you dont get that much xp from killing mobs... you do the bare minimum of killing for quests then move on. Some ppl really dislike this, some love it. I wouldn't really want to grind on some mobs for hours anyway so for me its a plus.
@@ze6057 it's more like pay to play less. you can buy currency that you also get by playing. that currency is needed to upgrade items and buy upgrade materials which you can also get just by playing. pvp is normalized so everyone is equally strong, you cant spend money to be stronger in pvp. So in a nutshell, if you are in a hurry to get to the most difficult dungeons & raids, you can spend money. You can easily play this game without spending a single dollar.
@@ze6057 forgot to mention, the only p2w for pvp is guild vs guild content and a few pvp islands in the map, since the pvp normalization isn't applying on that content.
@@ze6057 whales slaughtering players in pvp islands & GvG, obvious advantage of swiping due to so many content limitations, additional rewards by spending crystals, etc. You can play this game completely f2p, but that doesn't mean the game is not p2w when there's a clear gap between whales and f2p players. If you want to catch up with other players who swipe you have to make alts to gather more resources, which is just grindy af. A whale who just started the game will be dealing more damage than a person who's been playing for a month.

If this game is considered ‘competitive’ in any way it’s through the equalized gear parts of the game and there is no P2W for that stuff so who cares if other parts of the game can be made faster or easier if you pay money… not required and really doesn’t matter. I play Lost Ark on RU servers

The max level thing didn't exist at launch in korean server. They released it like two years later at their second major update.
