Hi J P. Yes, they are a nice little camera. They're pretty thin on the ground these days. My wife has suggested that I put a film through it, so it will be interesting to see what results I get. 🤔
Hi Howard, Does it require a battery to operate the shutter? I'm thinking not as it's a small cell (but also a small 📸)... Anyway, hope you're doing well. having fun with my yashica 35. The rangefinder seems to be a bit short (true focus is ~ a foot behind the subject) and shutter speed adjustment isn't exactly operational. pics turn out all right considering my inexperience. Took it through government security with no problems yesterday 🙂 Do you know of a fully mechanical rangefinder with a greater fov than the yash 35? Trent
Hi Trent. The Petri colour 35 is fully mechanical so no battery required, but no metering of course without a battery. With the Yashica 35 you could get the rangefinder adjusted if you feel it necessary. As for FOV the Petri is 40mm so a little wider. But a better option would be the Canon QL17 GIII which I reviewed earlier. Also 40mm. Other than that it might be time for an SLR camera. That would open up a whole range of lens. Cheers, Howard 📷
Hi, all I can suggest is that you find a good camera store who should be able to direct you to a repairer who could give you a quote to get it working. Good luck. Howard
Thanks, Howard. I too hadn’t realized the size of the camera until now. Nice little compact.

I remember seeing ads for those in the old camera magazines, but I didn't realize they were so small. Thanks for an interesting review!
Thanks Brian, my pleasure.
Hi Brian, I'm a fan! Will you do a review of this Petri Color 35?
@@milkyway6080 Hi . I think you will have to go to Brian's channel to make this request.
Cheers, Howard

the film studio I use must be doing some magic during processing... every shot seems to be perfectly exposed 😂 (I have no idea what I'm doing)
