    I just got it: the reason the Buddha did not want to indulge us into knowing the secrets of the Universe is because we will loose out path to liberation and once again get stuck into addiction of wanting to know all the detail of where we came from and where we are going. In a sense Buddha is empowering us to become liberated and then we will know directly for ourselves. He was smart because he knows how easily we can get off the track!
