@brad, during obama's inauguration, an attorney sued on the basis of separation of church/state because creepy Obama swore to god on the Bible to play the God's game. That lawsuit lasted less than 24 hrs in the newscycle. Get your head out of the sand, the institution is not with us but against us
It's been a concern of mine since I was in middle school in the early 1970's. In the state I live in, it's been a problem starting even earlier than that. I spent over 30 years of my life living away from the state in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK. I came back (reluctantly) to a state which was far more starkly Christian/Christian Nationalist than when I left, and it has only become worse each year that I've been back. I don't have much time left in my life, but I'll be darned if I'll be forced to join a religion, especially when I have never a day in my life been a member or believer in any religion. They can pray for me to their hearts' content, but it isn't going to change me. I'd rather be burned at the stake.
It is delusional to promote democracy when the country is owned by Citizens United & billionaires. Vote for Trump, because what can be worse than being a weapons supplier to Genocide & other conflicts? The public seems guided, normalized to Christofascism.
I don’t think the new Christo-fascist-backed administration is going to mandate or force people into Christianity, but rather instill indoctrinating language in school education and have it as a best practice bylaw in governmental policies.
There's never been an actual division, merely a separation of function. The concept of the _office_ has always been and will always be an ecclesiastical concept first, secular concept second.

People in rural areas are hardest hit by school vouchers. The local schools are often the center of the community. Tiny private schools will drain students and resources from the school. Then, public schools start to close. Goodbye high school football program.
@@jonnieinbangkok I don't understand why this is such an emotional issue. My kids trained in the martial arts. These classes are not divided by gender. They were part of their school's rowing and sailing teams. Boys and girls were part of the same crew. Quick question regarding abortion and body autonomy. If you have religious freedom to discriminate and is protected by law, bc they fake a situation that it was not happening (the possible request of services from a business agains their religion beliefs) Can someone with a kidney problem that needs a transplant, can they bring a lawsuit, demanding a that another person that is healthy, not a relative and a match donor be force to donate a kidney to the sick one? Just to test the courts; can that be possible?

My concern as been for a long time, the rise of Christian Nationalism and the impact on us atheists.

We all need to stand together against their crap. Separation of church and state is crucial to maintain.

Religious people don't want P 2025 either, it not only prescribes a certain religion, but a certain interpretation of it.
