NL, just so you know, the energy loss from Fasting counts as a debuff, so the relic that removes all debuffs if you play a power, skill and attack in the same turn will make fasting easier to maintain.

Hey, don't think you've noticed yet: Pressure Points deals damage to ALL enemies with Mark. That means when you're about to overkill an enemy by playing Pressure Points on it, you can play it on a different enemy instead!
He pogged his freaking gourd about it when someone told him as much in last episode's comments. So he is aware of it by now, the backlog just hasn't caught up.
NGL I didn't notice that either and I finished A20 with watcher. In my defense, it is not a good card especially at high ascension levels so I rarely pick it up
You can also not take that card at all. I mean it's fun but it's an extremely rare pick at higher level. What kills it is the lack of synergies with the rest of watches cards. I mean there's one with Signature Move but it's so complicated to make it work, I don't think I've ever seen it in play.
Found NL by searching for slay the spire months ago and became obsessed, fell out of the game after becoming frustrated with the ascension gameplay, but getting back on the wagon with you, super stoked, keep up the great videos!
Hey NL, you should try swapping your starting relic for a boss relic more often. It's a bit of Zane, but more importantly it often gives you an interesting deck restriction that shakes runs up. No resting, no upgrades, 6 cards per turn etc are all fun when you build from the start. Plus, it's really strong! At A20 it's meta to boss swap Love your work
I'm a recent StS buyer so greatly appreciate seeing tips like this! Btw, does this rule also hold for ironclad? I feel like I bleed too much health without his burning blood
@@doctorbones941 depends on your level of confidence and how your path layout is looking but the starting relic swap is relatively an always take on the watcher and the defect

I remember when you started your first series and I fell in love with this game and after you started playing again I bought it myself glad to see its becoming a series again
I'm only at minute 10 in this video so forgive me if you figure this out later or already know this: When you Scry cards, it always shows the cards in order from left to right. If you use Cut Through Fate which draws a card and you see a card that you want next turn ON THE RIGHT and not the left, you can simply not select any cards to Scry, you will always draw the card on the left side of the screen, and the right side card will be on the very top of your deck for the next turn. I know Eruption was on the left so you were screwed anyway, but I just wanted to make sure since that mechanic isn't always super duper clear.
Saying no to those bites AND those apparitions? You're a madman. Both are insanely good. (bites were only good since you still had all your strikes and apparitions is the strongest event in the game until ascension climb knocks it from 5 copies to 3) Loving the content though! Plus that new thumbnail is fire.
Wowowow - Glad to see you enjoying this game again. I think you'd really enjoy another Deckbuilding rogue like that's come out recently: Roguebook. I think it's the most worthy successor to the STS crown with enough new interesting ideas that don't go completely off the deep end.
Hey NL, just I reminder because I'm sure you know this by now. When the pressure point debuff amount is already more than the enemy's health, use PP on another enemy because the card reads (with different wording) "increase the debuff by X and proc it on EVERY enemy".
He fundamentally misunderstands how Flurry of Blows works (Not like tantrum, if it ends up in your discard in any way, you will still be able to pull it back in your hand on stance change) but he still knows how good it is so I hope he sees this to help reduce the mental load.
NL been watching for 2 years. Great content but 2 things. Pressure adds a debuff and can stack at the same time on multiple enemies. Deva gains a 1 energy next turn, then 2 energy following turn after that, then 3 energy, then so on.
