I'm a disabled veteran living on medical benefits and would love a slingshot but I can't afford one. It's perfect for taking me to the VA hospital and back home. It rains a lot here around Houston.
I just took my Slingshot on a 10,000 mile cross country ride. I have the V-Back canvass top installed and it kept the 104° Kansas sun from melting my helmet. I can only imagine how it would have been in a totally enclosed seating area. I did get caught in the rain a couple of times and got drenched to the bone, so I can see how a totally enclosed cockpit might come in handy in the rain, but then you are dealing with a fogging windshield and limited visability. I can appreciate the engineering behind this product and it appears to be well constructed, but for me, I enjoy the open cockpit, the wind and fresh air. I will deal with getting wet when it rains as the ocassion occurrs. This is not for me. Great presentation, and a well made product otherwise.
I can appreciate the development effort that went into this. I don't think it is something I would be interested in but nice job and nice presentation. I would be interested in knowing the level of cabin noise , level of air tightness?
Its primarily for people that probably either use it for a daily or elders who cant take that kind of air to the face i do agree though it probably does kill the vibe a bit.
I can see those nutserts failing over time , good job on the details, being a biker who is considering a slingshot, I wouldn't want to permanently enclose the cab somewhat, getting closer to a car than bike like, a basic canopy that I could remove easily would be good for my liking, that's what I think is cool about it, it has the ability to customize either way, more open weather or closed in more
Great concept and product! But being 6'7", I could see my head hitting the top of this! I literally don't think I could get in mine if I had this cover on! But it is a nice addition! I kinda like the wind blowing around!!!
I kinda understand why someone would chose this, the slingshot is roofless and in the time of a severe accident your more likely to have you head torn off then to go home with some broken bones, I don’t judge if it’s your ride it’s your ride, like people get mad or hateful about something, but there are multiple reasons but if they bought something with hard earned money who gives us the right to judge what they want to do their money you do hat you want and I understand you have your own opinion but there is no need for hate
august van suchtelen if you're near Tampa FL, il install. I have also installed door locks, windshield wipers, rear view mirror, also have to relocate side mirrors. Text me 7278083298 , PS video is crap, nothing is marked, took me all week to install and they never return calls or emails. Is is great in rain an cold, also with doors and side windows off in the sun
I would think it would be a good idea if you were driving down the road in this vehicle that you have someone following you and picking up all the parts that fall off.
A lot of bolts installed, removed and do the process to the other side bull shit it real hot in Texas it seems cheap material no way Jose I go convertible!!!! Thanks Pops
I should be getting mine next week. I did some checking on add on parts from polaris and found they are outrageously priced. I was thUKnking about water and road grime slinging up onto the body and was thinking a properly designed rear fender should stop or lessen that issue if it does that. Anybody have experience with that idea? I was planning on fabricating one and if it works will make them available to my friends and others if wanted.
Nut-serts in plastic? Once lined up and good to go I would take them all back out and apply a bit of epoxy, also a line or two of Silicone in-between the first, second, third, roof windshield insanity ,and would rig up a simple windshield wiper. Would also like to hear a drive test to see how much it squeaks and rattles being plastic on plastic? Great concept to DRIVE from N.Y. to Florida then strip it off and enjoy the goodness. Then place it back on to run back up passing the Chrome guys trailers.I'm interested in it because I only have 1 almost good leg so it's an option I've come to consider purchasing a frigg'n Auto-Cycle!
this wasnt made to be a dailly driver. more like. a. adult toy for people that can. Afford it. kinda like people who buy speed boats or. jetskies. so if you are complaining about the PRICE The😞n. this Toy is probably not. for you so please. stop bitching about the. price. if it cost too much then. just don't buy it!! butt please just stop. all the bitching about the price. sometimes you just half too. Pay 2 Play😎😃😁
Why didn't you guys just preship it with the holes? Shitty quality control and manufacturing. I've never seen an aftermarket mod for something that required so much work just to install it.
At the risk of sounding gullible did you really have ac added to your slingshot? I was planning on adapting an electric rv type ac if one wasnt available for the GM ecotech.
I love the batmobile look, but price is 1/4 of the overall cost of the Slingshot so it is too pricey. I'm also not a fan of drilling the body. Thanks for the video and for the concept!
I think all of this completely contradict the purpose of a Slingshot, I mean if ur gonna do all of this just stick to a car. Defeats it's purpose, to encapsulated
I'm still not sure what the thing looks like completed with the doors closed and back windows installed... I spent alittle too much time looking for it too.
I own a slingshot and don’t understand this expensive mod. Fully enclosed you just have a slow car with less grip and none of the comforts like AC or heat. You don’t even have a true firewall between the engine and seats so these doors help trap you in if there is a fire. Really dumb

You did a wonderfully detailed instructional video .Thank you so much .
Substantial windscreen, simple instructions, ABS plastic and pre-drilled hardware...seems simple and easy.
wow so cool what about windshield wipers?
Seems like it'll take the fun and excitement out of riding in one.
Its primarily for people that probably either use it for a daily or elders who cant take that kind of air to the face i do agree though it probably does kill the vibe a bit.
New Subscriber. Excellent Video. Lots of great information. Now all I have to do is afford a sling shop.
This is useful for someone like me that lives up north
I love it

I'm glad yall thought tof this because a windshield was the only reason I wanted a t rex
This is an outstanding product and presentation. 👍👍

Looks like if they made a modern show of The Munsters, that would be Herman Munsters new Dragula ride! Looks pretty damn cool!
2 days the the rain is gone and your still installing this .
Really looking good I love
You are an awesome instructor
How can you get this done were do you get this stuff in is there air inside
I know you all stopped making these. But what would it take to get one made for a 23 and possibly metal?
I kinda understand why someone would chose this, the slingshot is roofless and in the time of a severe accident your more likely to have you head torn off then to go home with some broken bones, I don’t judge if it’s your ride it’s your ride, like people get mad or hateful about something, but there are multiple reasons but if they bought something with hard earned money who gives us the right to judge what they want to do their money you do hat you want and I understand you have your own opinion but there is no need for hate
Does this accessory improve aerodynamics enough to increase top speed, or fuel economy?
Not sure why there's so much effort going into turning these into cars. Defeats the whole point.
I would suggest that you use metric fasteners, because the vehicle has only metric fasteners.
drj Westfield Wisconsin does the slingshot have heat and air conditioning?.
Has he sold any of those yet?
Definitely going to buy ine for rainy days
did i miss something what happen to side mirrors
What haopened to the front mirrors
Do you have to have the doors installed? It was looking good without them.
Why the hell did I watch this video... I'm a truck driver....48 minutes gone lol
What kind of Lisense do I need to drive this on the State Highway
Keep on truckn
Well next time enjoy the traffic,it happens with me when watch list gets short😂
Great way to void warranty!!! :)
doubt that because its not mechanically altering the engine or trans.
They also sell them when u customize ur build lol
Do you still have doors?
will this fit on a 2018 Slingshot? and where can I get it installed .. thank you kindly

@@stuullrich3213 I'm planing to get a 2020 model can this fit on this? when I get this I will text you thank you kindly in advance
What about sideview mirrors?
Can the addition be added to the new 2020 Polaris
Wondering how much heat gets retained inside on warmer days?
Where can I purchase it
I would think it would be a good idea if you were driving down the road in this vehicle that you have someone following you and picking up all the parts that fall off.
I'm good enough ,I'm smart enough and doggone it people like me, just keep saying that to yourself
where can i order one please ?????
I'm not rich, my question is really, what is the way to build that frame in an efficient way ... I guess I'll have to experiment
Still available??
i love it so much how much for it
A lot of bolts installed, removed and do the process to the other side bull shit it real hot in Texas it seems cheap material no way Jose I go convertible!!!! Thanks Pops
What about wipers in like snowy states like pa or Ohio and heat

How much and when is this available to everyone???
the guy was talking to a bunch of people at a bike fest and said i believe around 5k
Do you still have to wear a helmet?
yes lol
the front mirror is also missing to see from behind
Does it fit on a 2020 Polaris Slingshot R
Love it
well thought kit and installation video ......... JRW
EXCELLENT

A slingshot is about the open road cockpit fun, you just it made less......good luck but not a option I would ever buy.
I would buy if I didn't have to drill into the slingshot
+Jared Harrison but then I might idk
I ride all year, Considering for winter months. But yeah idk about drilling it in slingshot
Next video: adding an air conditioning unit to your Slingshot.
And a Heather
What coste the bike
Where can I buy one at in Baltimore
Rodney Dorsey order thru Slingshotsonly in Sarasota FL, they ship to you
👍
Why waste money on all of this when you can get a roof from polaris
Is Polaris better?
Do they have it for Polaris GT and R
I’m just asking
I mean I believe the point of this is for rain, poloris ones can stop that annoying rain
Take a shot every time he says "nutsert"
Take a shot for everytime he changes what he calls the thumb bolt 🤣🤣
😍
I’d have put a rubber seal on the bottom inside windshield assembly just to fill the gap.
I think he enjoys say the phrase, " NUTCERT"!!!!!!!!1
Why didn't you guys just preship it with the holes? Shitty quality control and manufacturing. I've never seen an aftermarket mod for something that required so much work just to install it.
You ever try to put an aftermarket part on something it never fits
Dont know what this unit cost but the top from polaris is $3000.00 . it wouldnt suck to have one but not at 3000.00
that fan is weak I got ac in my slingshot
At the risk of sounding gullible did you really have ac added to your slingshot? I was planning on adapting an electric rv type ac if one wasnt available for the GM ecotech.

You might as well just buy a damn car.
Yup.
BiggDookie , I'm saying
The joy of the slingshot is that it has three wheels
Why ?
the plastic doesn’t do it for me. Then again my c7zo6 is not a fair comparison
sorry but its....how do you say....UGly?
I think all of this completely contradict the purpose of a Slingshot, I mean if ur gonna do all of this just stick to a car. Defeats it's purpose, to encapsulated
tbh it looks better with out the doors to me.
Seeing he’s wearing socks with his PFG’s. We already know he doesn’t use things as they were intended.
I'm still not sure what the thing looks like completed with the doors closed and back windows installed... I spent alittle too much time looking for it too.
Need a door that allows you to roll down a window.
nice
No that is batman's car😂
Future batmobile?????!!!!
Dubstep Family discount batman 😁😁😁😁😁
I think that’s very nice but for me I just keep everything assembled hahaha 🤣 thanks
To muck work not getting it
Oh,alt plastic sheets with Velcro
looks like a high-quality thoughtful effort but what a lot of plastic and what a giant pain in the butt
It's a Polaris.....Nice to keep dry when you're broke down.....
had my 2005 polaris sportsman 800 since new.... not a single problem exept a tire leak (that fixed itself)
Swedish_Steel people just love to say any and every model of vehicle is notorious for breaking down... they must all ride bikes...
Nut sert equal heli coil
I love it but would not pay that much for it
No video of a completed slingshot??????????????
I like this idea it just sounds like cheap plastic though.
how many glasses does it take to snuggly snug the nutserts?

Who can I pay to do this for me.
We'll pay you NOT to do it.
Nah, I’ll stick to my weather app.... This option defeats the whole purpose.
Poor men comment

Sometime things is good the way it is should just leave it alone
not worth it drilling anything into the factory frame no good also not very attractive waste of money
The slingshot is already too much money.
its a piece of shit for dumbass drug dealers who have no sense but do have money( ghetto ass ) yo boys
Man people who cover their slingshots are missing the whole point of having one
Hey I'm paul
It looks, feels, taste like suicidal road hazard!
you have a car with 3 wheels basically after adding all the items...geeezz
