Awesome, Chris. By the way, you have to make the trip to Puerto Rico someday. I think your audience would love to see you visit the land of your parents and grandparents someday. It would give us a great insight of your family, and who you are. Best always, Chris.

I am new here...does he have Puerto Rican ancestry? I see he has traveled many places...it would be unusual for a person who travels so much not to visit where his ancestors are from.
Watching from PR. When I used to live in NYC I never missed one single parade. My daughter flew from the island this yr for her first parade and she loved it. This yr was dedicated to San Germán, our hometown and she was on one of the floats.
Thank you for sharing with us. I ❤️🇵🇷parade. I have not attended the NYC parade for some time now, I miss the energy and the experience. I now go to NJ and it still full of energy, but it’s not NY❤️🇵🇷
😀This Parade is comparable to the Veterans day and St. Patricks day parade for the amount of people it attracks. I feel like I am in Puerto Rico today. Veteran US-Navy. God Bless NYC.
I love it man please keep covering the Puerto Rican day parade every year I don't get out much so you're bringing the Puerto Rican day parade to me thank you so much for your support man and your time
GLORY!!!!'m favoured, $140K every 3weeks! And am retired i can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless New York
In the 1960’s the parade was elegant! Floats, cultural art young girls dressed in “tipica style” with representation, Puerto Rico’s mayors from each section, real orchestras, etc. It would end in Central Park only to see THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS on the stage A different generation YOUR grandfathers It was so beautiful in the ‘60s and continued in the ‘70s I participated many times and it was nostalgic The crowds were triple of what I see today MANY migrated to Florida ❤
Good job Chris, this video is of the Puerto Rican Day Parade (going up 5th Ave). The actual festival is always the day before the parade on 116th St. Be safe & keep up the good work!
Bro, thanks for posting this. 🙏 I worked in East Harlem, "El Barrio," where the festival continues. I was missing NYC, and I have a month before I'm out to PR to see the family, so seeing this was great, bro. It brings back memories of the old days ❤🙏 in NYC.
I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN N.Y.C. I TOOK BALLET CLASSES IN CARNAGIE HALL WHEN I WAS 7 YEARS OLD . I LIVED IN MANHATTAN, 100TH. STREET. WORKED IN A FACTORY IN 39 WEST 37TH STREET. THEN MOVED TO QUEENS.... STUDIED IN JAMAICA QUEENS. IM LIVING IN P.R. BECAUSE MY PARENTS BOUGHT A LAND....I'M NOSTALGIC...MISSING MY HOME SWEET HOME AND MY FAMILY...THEY ALL DIED. PLANNING TO VISIT N.Y.C IN 2024. THANKS FOR TRANSPORTING ME. WOWWWW, I KNOW ALL THESE PLACES YOU ARE WALKING IN.😢🎉
I try to visit Puerto Rico every chance I get and I go normally once a year. How long have you been living in Puerto Rico, and how do you like it? I've been traveling there since I was kid but do you like living there? And do you work or are retired?
I’m from Los Angeles & I’m Mexican / Puerto Rican , we have a little PR festival down here but nothing compares to New Yorks, especially the one in Brooklyn ( I think this one is better). I got to experience both 🇵🇷❤️
Hey Chris, great video. I'm from Brooklyn but rarely journey out into the city unless I'm working and usually driving through. Weed is legal to smoke on the streets. Light one up! Cheers!
I remember taking my motorcycle down there about 20 years ago with about 20 friends. It was a crazy time one of the best parades ever. We had the bikes all decked out in the Puerto Rican flag. The Dominican parade is just as good.
Yeah baby to all my Puerto Ricans in New York City God bless you... be safe... Viva enjoy.. from Buffalo New York are Puerto Rican festival is in August. ❤️🌹✌️🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey bro enjoy yourself bro, Puerto Rican are everywhere, we celebrate everywhere to.. I lived in NYC but when ya get a chance hit up Bronx and Brooklyn, and I most definitely would say visit Puerto Rico, I’ll be in PR in October to visit fam… man I can wait.
Yo Chris you have to come again next year! The parade is the 2nd Sunday of June every year. You have to check out the PR Festival on 116th street, Spanish Harlem. That’s the Saturday before the parade. That Festival is A VIBE too!! I’m so glad you got to witness the best parade in the country! QUE VIVA PUERTO RICO!!!!🇵🇷
From the looks of it. The crowds are no where the size that they used to be back in the day. There literary no room on the sidewalk on the parade route. You would have to be there like 8 or 9 o’clock 🕘 I’m the morning…
It's called the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Not the Puerto Rico Day nor Puerto Rico Festival. You should read up on the event before commenting...
Those drinks they selling on the streets are called nutcrackers and they are strong you will get drunk quick with a few of them. It’s a good thing you went for a beer at a bar 😂
@NuYoRicanFlava oh snaps, I didn't know that. I just thought she was Mexican. I just looked it up and he father is Mexican and her mother is Mexican and Puerto Rican. That's a "fun" fact in gonna randomly bring up on someone, soon. Lol

Chris the cops don’t care about weed and smoking outside, people smoke cigarettes and that’s waaaay worse! I love to smell NYC now! It doesn’t smell like piss and garbage!😂😂😂
Bro I like your video. But how could you not know today June is Puerto Rican Day. Your Abuelo is PR and you never been there. Come on bro… I’m a little disappointed. Go to Puerto Rico and do a beautiful video, go back to the motherland 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
I'm gonna tell you this I'm 🇵🇷 but in nyc the biggest parade/carnival is the west indian parade in Brooklyn, bcuz then you have every one n then sum including the 🇵🇷🫡🤣 I stopped going to Puerto Rican day parades since late 90s but then it was just a gang war parade😅
My problem with the parade...( and they HAVE been trying to do better)...is that I rarely see cultural floats..such as those representing the different towns....for years there was just floats representing beer...politicians...radio stations and Riff Raff or gente cafre( as they say on the island)....They represent some reggateon ...Bomb Y plena ( which is a beautiful art)..and some salsa.....but never the traditional mountain music....My mother ( may she rest in peace)was from the mountains....she lived the true jibaro life....and I look to see Puerto Rico represented but I see mostly New York urbanized 3rd,4th, 5th generations.. I am in my 60s ...and I first went to Puerto Rico in 1964 as a child ..I got to meet much older people...who carried the culture....I know things change..but .they good do better by bringing some groups from the island....who can still represent their grand parents and great grandparents culture.
Respect the PuertoRicans,,,they hold it down in NYC!!!
chriz ALL My Lovely People from Puerto Rico viva alll Latina love you ALLL!!!!❤❤❤❤💯
I'm from Montréal, Canada. I like the Puerto Rican culture because it is very modern and progressive ! Kudos.

@cynthiabiel7714 I def agree w this statement 🫡💯 in 90s those oldschool floats dwindled away n replaced by J Lo n A Rod Yankees floats😭🤣
No veo cultura real. Esto da ver guenza.. No veo vestidos ni nada. Solo gente saltando qué desorden. Muy mal
