My favorite support against immobile AD's like varus, Jinx, and Jhin is Yorick. Run em down, then wall them. Unless they waste their autos on his wall, they're stuck in there for the full 4 seconds, and if you're supporting a vayne, she can use condemn for a guarantee stun from any angle or distance. It's a hard counter to Jhin, at max rank Yorick's wall requires 4 autos to disable, which for Jhin is about 4 seconds anyway, and he can't get out period if he doesn't have his full clip.
Chad Steeves Okay... but what happens when your ADC is caught out? You could wall, but it most likely wont be enough to counter most CC based champs. This then forces your ADC to flash, leaving them dead next time. Yorick is a great bully 'support' but really isn't that great in real supporting.
Well in most situations, if they're in a tough spot, four seconds of the enemy being unable to move + face of the mountain is enough to save my adc, and if it isn't, that basically means there isn't much you could have done for them anyway. That's basically no different from any tank support aside from Braum, who can block auto attacks.
Besides that, if you're paying attention, your AD should rarely get caught out, Yorick's wall works as more than a root, it's an extremely valuable zoning tool as well. When you see the jungler coming into lane you can place the wall from a fairly long distance away to block their route or at least slow them down long enough that your ad can. Unlike other walls, since it's circular, a well placed wall can block junglers with mobility since jumping over one side merely places them inside the circle rather than past it, like other obstacles.
Very few people apply this, but it can also be placed ON your adc who can use it to kite enemy melee champions, who can't reach them if they stay to the opposite side (it also royally screws up their pathing when they try to auto attack).
Keep in mind Yorick also has a slow, and his ghouls are very effective at blocking skill shots when used correctly.
Barring all of that, around mid game Yorick can take on any adc, easily if your ult is up, so even if your ad is unsavable, you can often kill theirs and then walk away. I have a friend I duo with and he actually looks forward to opportunities that I can use Yorick support.
