Ok, questions from a late comer here. Exactly what is your training level? How in the hell do you manage to get from a total loss to the other end of the bar so fast? My training is currently only Artisan 8, and if I don't keep smashing the space bar, if I let that gage drop even halfway to the total loss side, there's no way in hell it will go anywhere near the other end of the bar. I'd be damn lucky to 'barely' manage a win. I also notice you have a full set of TET manos accessories there... so your mastery is going to be way higher than a lot of the people watching this video, which ultimately equates to easier taming and may very well make this method impossible for those of us with lower mastery.
My training is Master 5. Trick to getting from left to right super fast it so use both hands, and u keep hitting space super fast changing from one hand to another :). (having a good keyboard doesn't hurt either). Mastery in no way affects your ability to succeed in spamming the space, it only affects your chance of capturing horses (by 15% in my case). What makes it easy to capture horses is the having 2x trainer's clothes, one regular, and another one couponed into pearl slot using the tailoring coupon. (30% increased chance of successful tame). So even if you don't have manos accessories, your base mastery chance is going to be like what? 10%, 5% even worst case, and if u have the 2x clothes (which you should), that would mean in worse case scenario you have 10% less chance to capture horse then me, so in other words, lack of mastery does not in any way make this method impossible.

And yes, I have the trainers clothes at +3 and the riding clothes from the pearl shop, so that added buff, though my manos accessories are at best a couple PRI's and the others base level. So according to what you're saying here, I just don't have the killer keyboard or I'm simply too slow on the space bar. Not shocking. 😂
Nice and succinct. Waiting until the timer is more than halfway over is brilliant. It saved my wife the effort of beating me over the head with my keyboard after I "TAPPED" the space bar 180,000 times. Thanks!
really helpful but got 1 question, heard you can use mouse wheel instead of spamming space. Any experience with that and how do you set it up? (scrolling in key bind settings doesnt set it for me, input is ignored)
Hm, not sure, I think it has to be set-up using external mouse software, like Razer Synapse or something similar, i haven't done it tho, so I don't rly know.
Unfortunately, I'm still having issues; I've wasted over 100 ropes doing this. 😣 The only time I've gotten close was with left-clicking and immediately spamming the spacebar. When you rope the horse, are you holding down W after left-clicking? P.S. I'm doing this on a touchpad, not using a mouse.
I'm not entirely sure i understand what the issue is but i'll try to help. So, you put a rope on the action bar (you don't have to do this, you can also use it from inventory). Use the rope, aim for the horse, click, do the rope thing. Once you rope the horse, you press W and you walk to it, until you see it prance (get on it's back legs) When you see that, you can either press space or wait a bit (as showed in the video), once you press space, you need to spam it for 10 seconds, or wait and spam it last 5 seconds. Once that part is done, you keep walking to the horse with W. And you walk all the way to the horse until you reach it, and get the option to feed it. You might get more space spamming minigames in between but it's random chance. Hope this was explanation you were looking for :). GL,.

When I have the rope, I look for the red marker on the horse, then I left-click the horse, and a second later, I spam the spacebar; the tug of war game begins, which I'm able to "win". Then it says to hit W and move close to the horse; this is where it ends for me. I hit W, but I don't move closer to the horse; I stand there, and the rope quickly breaks. I tried this again today; I brought 100 ropes and raw sugar. I used all the ropes and didn't get to the sugar part. I mentioned this to a member of my guild. If I try to slow down as tutorials suggest, then the rope breaks right off for me.
I have never experienced that behavior or ran into any1 who has had similar issue, the only way I could help you is either if you record a video of yourself doing it, or you could stream yourself doing it to me on discord, so i can see exactly whats happening and give you some additional guidance as u're doing it.

After you throw the rope at the horse, the up and down slider appears and you have to tap space right when it's in the zone. After this you W key towards the horse until it does the raise leg animation and a flashing SPACE tells you to...hit SPACE, after this you will enter a 10 second minigame, where you mash space bar, when the timer counts down to zero you stop hitting space bar. If you are self initiating the mini-game by mashing space without being prompted to, you will fail 100% of the time
I never caught a horse by pressing the space bar. I normally keep W pressed and walk towards the horse. when the signal to allow you to feed sugar appears, I quickly feed the lump of 4-5 sugar before mounting it. I suspect higher tier horses can be harder to catch because they will prance and the rope will break off right away. lower tier horses I find will remain tied even if they prance. It wont work all the time but it works a lot. I carry about 30 rope and sometimes you get it in two tries and sometimes you waste all 30. It is easier if you catch the horse when it is at the limit of where it can move such as a cliff or side of a mountain. The best horse I caught was tier 6 near Heidel which is where i am at the moment. I'm still new. I'll try your way with the spacebar. thanks!
You should always feed it sugar, and yes, sometimes if you are lucky, you will not get the prancing animation and therefor no need to spam space :), I guess you were lucky. Enjoy the game, nothing beats the experience of first time figuring out things in a new game.

But all jokes aside, use both hands (both index fingers) to quickly spam the space, it will work 100% :). try it.

When it gets it's legs up the second time once they go down it fails...
Perhaps u're dealing with a bit of latency, try pressing space just before it goes down then. gl!

I have no idea what "wooden horse" is :D, i'd suggest just go for real horses
