It's that time of year when we make a bunch of stuff for people. Give this project a shot. I put my template in the description if you want a starting point.
Thank you Billy! I just finished my first Sapele/Wenge Wine Caddy and it turned out very nice (I must admit). Usually, the first few new projects I make are so so. This was a fun build! The next Wine caddy I make will have a Wenge reveal on the bottom of each piece. I simply will glue up a 1/4" piece of Wenge on the bottom of each piece before I start. Then follow your steps. If all goes well, it will have a subtle Wenge accent to the bottoms of each piece which will match the legs. I really enjoy your vids. Thanks again Billy! -Joe
Thank you for the template for this wine caddy. You make some wonderful items and it is nice when folks like you pass on information for the rest of us to try our hand at these. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
“You could build this on a CNC, too.” [Cut to clip of manually cutting the workpiece with a handheld router and circle jig on top of the CNC bed]. Ha. That was good. 😊
Nice. A good project to make for friends or family. I made one for my girlfriend and now my wife wants me to make one for her too! 😲😊😊 This would be a fun project on the Shaper Origin too.
Thank you for including the plans which for a beginner like me, was great. My project turned out well but I should have rewatched the video before starting. The tray although functional isn’t as pretty as yours. It was a great learning curve and that you for the opportunity to try it. Loved your video and hope to see more
From one old grumpy bastard, THANK YOU(!) for playing music lower than you voice volume, nothing drives me nuts more than those TH-cam artist who do it wrong. Yours was perfect, my hearing aids weren't needed & my neighbors weren't blasted out everytime the music played. The rest of video & project was exceptional too.
I like it. Should make another one for white wine. With a little ice bucket. Obviously I’m not suggesting a wood ice bucket but the ability to put one on it. Just an idea.
I made one using your templates and NOT ONE of my wine glasses fit. They are either too tall or too wide and lay against the base. Needs to be a little longer and a little taller. That said, thank you so much for the video and the templates. You are an inspiration.
Hey Newton, another great project. I love the grain in Walnut, the Wenge legs are simply design but stylish and go well with the tray. Thanks for sharing.
I loved it thank you for the video and for including the plans, do I need a plunger router to be able to use the circle gig? I have a regular trim router will it work with that?
I like the project, but I'm not going to download another browser just to be able to get the template! I like your scrap wood cart also, but I can't download it without the new browser.
No clue what you're talking about regarding another browser. No one has ever mentioned problems and people access my website every day using Internet Explorer, Microsoft edge, Firefox, and Chrome.
I thought you were going full Beaker (from The Muppets) on us at the beginning. That was gonna make it harder to follow your instructions on the build, lol. Great project and video!

Please do one (if you haven't already) for wine that should be kept chilled in ice.
Great idea, I like the little add-on top and bottom. Others I have seen only have the tray hanging from the neck of the bottle. Looks great

I love how this fella explains everything he does. I love watching these videos. Keep ‘em coming, sir! Thank you!
Can't learn if we don't share our experiences, you know? It's how we all grow.
“You could build this on a CNC, too.” [Cut to clip of manually cutting the workpiece with a handheld router and circle jig on top of the CNC bed]. Ha. That was good. 😊
I mean...I didn't say HOW to do it on a CNC...
I'm so glad I saw this comment. I wasn't looking at the screen when I heard that and was thinking "I don't remember seeing the CNC in this video"
This is not a CNC video
Nice. A good project to make for friends or family. I made one for my girlfriend and now my wife wants me to make one for her too! 😲😊😊

Gracias, Billy! Acabo de imprimir la plantilla de Wine Caddy. Mañana comenzaré a hacerlo
Great little project. It is really fun to watch your design process and evolution of the final product.
I enjoy the fine tuned process of "make up as I go". Like the Bob Ross of woodworking.
Nice to see a slightly different take on wine caddies Billy!
Give a woodworker enough wine and you'll see all kinds of different takes!

Glad you were able to give it a shot. There's some fun woodworking skills in this project.
A nice project.
Hey, I made this today...thanks for the plans.
That's awesome to hear, congrats!!
Just found this,Beautiful,Thank you for the plans

The rest of video & project was exceptional too.
I spend more time on music editing and volume adjustment than I do with editing clips. It's really important so I do my best at it.
Süper Works thanks.
great project and thank you for the templet
This is the best project I have seen you create. Well done.
I like it. Should make another one for white wine. With a little ice bucket. Obviously I’m not suggesting a wood ice bucket but the ability to put one on it. Just an idea.
Can you do this without the fancy jigs? Would love to see it (because I haven’t got the money to get all of that)
Great work
You did that with so much ease. Really nice job.
Wasn't a hard project. If I'm stressing out then I'm probably overthinking.
Beautiful Piece!
the part where you got the idea to use the forge to cut the cork and then did was both genius and hilarious
I mean, why work hard if you don't have to?!
Great beginner's project and great tunes as well. Great job!
This is great. I love how it turned out. Looks amazing. I definitely need that bowl bit you used.
I really like your videos, thank you, I hope they are paying off for you. And playing the blues for background music keeps me from skipping ahead, :)
Newt, this is awesome. I really like it. Thanks
Thanks for checking it out!
Another professional video of a project that I want to buy from you! Loved your addition of the cheese try on top! I have never seen that before
Gotta have a tray for yo cheeses! Cheese ain't gonna eat itself.
Sangat berkelas
Great project man! Gives me ideas to make mine a little different.
That's exactly the goal. 👍
Good job
I made one using your templates and NOT ONE of my wine glasses fit. They are either too tall or too wide and lay against the base. Needs to be a little longer and a little taller. That said, thank you so much for the video and the templates. You are an inspiration.
I don't know how to edit a comment but I needed to add that it works fine if the glasses re upright - not hanging!!! DUH
This was really cool 😎
Thank you!
Hey Newton, another great project. I love the grain in Walnut, the Wenge legs are simply design but stylish and go well with the tray. Thanks for sharing.
I want one of those and I don’t even drink wine! Nice job, Billy!
You know what, me either! I have no idea what I'll do with this but I felt like it would be a good gift for someone who does drink wine.
Nice and simple work! I think im inspired, I rarely do ...
It's a fun project that can the starting point for something really cool.
Nice project and a nice build, Billy. I'm glad I subbed recently. I see the sled and it still looks great. Take care.
Bill
That sled is a rock star. I honestly can't think of much I would do to modify it. I like simple sleds.
Very nice
That CNC joke was priceless! Subbed :)
I enjoy using the cnc but I wanted to make the project more accessible. I can still make fun of it though. 😉
lov it
Thanks!
A LITTLE COLD up there now. Keep WARM if yea can.
Love the project! Definitely think instrumental music would be an improvement though lol
Nice project, good work....but I really like the music...who is it?
I use a ton of music from several people. I like to mix it up.
Nice
I loved it thank you for the video and for including the plans, do I need a plunger router to be able to use the circle gig? I have a regular trim router will it work with that?
Yes, I've done it free hand with a trim router before.
Looks great. If you use spray adhesive on the template how do you remove it?
Mineral spirits and it comes right off.
Cool Project and great explanation! Can you list your music choices? The music was also cool!
A combination of music by Martin Carlberg, Oomiee, Rain Jewels, Red Revision, and others.
Hi can I order one of this just for a gift for some one thanks❤
Muito bom
Obrigada
The groovy music gets me on my feet, but I still watch the screen.
Cheeseses!
what software did you use to make your templates
Inkscape
Please tell us about the music you use. I'd like to find you it for myself. 😊
I get the music from Epidemic Sound. I don't know where else the music is available to download.
Do you have a link to the Inkscape version that you use?
The link is in the video description.
I like the project, but I'm not going to download another browser just to be able to get the template! I like your scrap wood cart also, but I can't download it without the new browser.

Got it figured out! LOL Bad case of operator error! Thanks
Great video….but I was so disappointed when I couldn’t find the template for the leg lamp…😁
The leg lamp trademark has been wrapped up in litigation since the 80s. Something about the owner shooting his eye out.
@@NewtonMakes 🤣🤣🤣 I hate it when that happens…….
Nice project...❤️
CNC = Hey look Ma... I printed it myself...🙄
Stick to Handmade.
How thick is the piece you used for the cheeeseeses dish on top?
Im thinking 4/4 and 3/4" depth in the bowl areas.
I am about to start this project for a romantic picnic for my GF...but can't find the link for the cheese tray..
It's in the same file as the wine caddy. Check on my website.
Where is the cheese rack thing template????
I thought you were going full Beaker (from The Muppets) on us at the beginning. That was gonna make it harder to follow your instructions on the build, lol.
Great project and video!
I get excited about what I do. But every video should be either entertaining or educational, hopefully both.
@@NewtonMakes you were definitely both on this one (and on all I've seen this far :D )
I feel like you’re one of those dudes who work smarter not harder.
I certainly try. But sometimes I have to work harder to figure out how I could have worked smarter!
Already memerised it
I like the music but don’t know who the artist is
This is fantastic and classy. I will make it for a wine-loving friend. Thanks for the instructional, creative, fun, and entertaining content.
