Remember it's not about having the gold, It's about finding enough gold so you can sell it, and so you can buy better equipment so you can find more gold. I started going down there last year and love working the umpqua. Thanks for th video and keep them coming.
We have at least one video to edit and release. We were going to go out today but water levels shot way up the last few days. Going to try to get out more this summer. Thanks for the kind words!
We could probably recirculate here. laws prevent us from running it into the river. We need more gear to concentrate it quicker. The clay is tough to work with but it’s consistent gold.
I’ve been thinking if recirculating units like gold cubes and such are legal to run near the umpqua and the rogue. Watch out for ticks in that area! Good luck friend 👍😎
I've been to lawson before but didn't know where to look. Now I know but yeah I wanted to point out next time take a pan from the layer riding the clay, one from the clay, and then also try to get at the bottom to see where the gold is being held. I live here in Springfield oregon and have a 4 stage gold cube with trommel if you ever need to use it I have no issue as long as you have your own battery. I'm kinda getting my 10 year old daughter into it but im more into hard rock mining self learning geology etc so she gets bored with that part, she just wants the gold.
We’ve been to there a few times. The top 3-6” appear be where the deposit is. But I agree with your approach! We’re in Springfield too. Thanks for the offer on the cube. We have one now, but no trommel. That’s pretty killer! You ever hit up the bohemia area? Seems like better gold down south, but still fun to hit up local spots.
Making money isn’t the goal. But we’ll get a dredge eventually. Not a lot of places where it can be used legally. Most waterways in Oregon are protected due to salmon habitat. Thanks for watching!
Very nice!! I like you’re cleanup sluice that’s a killer setup. Keep up the hard work, I dig it!!😀

Awesome vid! Thats not bad colour per pan shame you couldnt get a sluice set up and process a ton of gravel. Keep up the good content!

No water near here in the summer. Few buckets from the river and your recirculating!
@@510prospecting that’s what I’m talking about👍

Yeah I've done hobo camp allot. I'm planning on camping and exploring that area this summer mainly up by cat creek on the champion creek section
There is an event at Lawson this Saturday. 10am. We’ll be there!

Congrats to you! It’s fun
Do you know Pat Tanner from canyonville? trying to get in touch, we rode Submarines together
Hi Dave, sorry we don’t know a Pat. Maybe check the southern Oregon gold prospectors group on Facebook.
I usually carry a gun with me any time I go out in the woods just in case I come across a bear or cougar, unless I'm going close to some popular park.
Yeah that’s the way to do it. I do the same now.
LOOKS LIKE DOLE BAR RECREATION AREA NEAR ROSEBURG OREGON
Pretty close! I’m sure the pay is similar.
all that work, time, effort, not to mention gas money for $3 worth of gold
Thats how most hobbies work. We’re just having fun outdoors with friends and family. The gold is a bonus. Thanks for watching.
Actually most hobbies don't have any cash payout. Any gold you get is more than you had before.
the white rock is a quarts solfaed take all the white rock home mill it crush it it might have gold in the quarts test it by it self
Will do!
talc.
Who’s that kid with you?
His name is Craig.
Cool name
my back yard
Lucky! It’s a great area. Thanks for watching.
Quarts degradation
Ah ha! Thank you. Maybe I should have put that in a pan.
Good thing it's a hobby because you are going to go broke doing it that way maybe you should consider investing into a dredge.

Hardly seems worth all the effort and time
Fun is in the hunt.
