The tip about the uncircumcised cone being a sign of the clay not being incorporated enough was really helpful to me, and I appreciate you describing the root cause of the issues. So much easier to remember the solution if you can picture what you're fixing!
I can’t throw to save my life but because you have gone into this detail, I think I have discovered what I’m doing wrong. I feel encouraged to try again! ❤
Thanks @Dante. Good points I need to work on. This came at good point for me. Also, I still have to catch myself from pulling away quickly when I decide "OK, its centered now".
Great video. I joined your channel in 2020 and loved the teaching aspect. Glad you doing that again. I still have some issues centering so these tips should help me.
I've been trying since 2016 to try and center and pull on the wheel. I have had several great instructors, but I just can control my hands and forearms to get size lump of clay centered or raised up.
Thank you so much. I was following ur videos along since a beginner. Now to a point I am thinking to start selling online. All your video tips are very helpful!
The metal wheel head or a plastic bat should be dry, but clay won’t stick to my Masonite bats unless they’re damp. They don’t need to be soaking, just damp.
Two suggestions. 1. You might be a person who wins their hands instead of the actual play body. Wet the entirety of the clay not just your hands. 2 You might be trying to cone up and down in one motion if you are just learning how to cone up and down I suggest you cone up, stop , add more water and then cone down until you get better at a single motion.
Great tips! I have been coning incorrectly. You have explained coning very well. Thank you for this video!
I see I have some bad habits, coning up and down. Thank you for showing me the right way.

Thanks for the advanced centering, been at this for awhile but still picked up a couple of things
I definitely stay in one spot too long. Not long enough to break it, but it swags off balance. I also leave a large skirt
Great video!

Releasing slowly anytime i touch the clay was my hardest lessen to learn. 🤦
Thank you so much as always❤
thank you!
Peepee poopoo. Great tips, I wish my teacher at ARC could have been as thorough as this.
Oh my I did all the mistakes! Thank you
HI. Thank you for the centering tip. I am wondering whether you can share some tips or your process of packing your work for shipment.
Yeah, I might be able to make a video on that I shouldn't be too hard.

as soon as i attempt to cone, the clay goes dry and there’s so much friction. i could use a gallon of water, i don’t know where it all goes 🤦🏻♀️

I'm ALWAYS GETTING MUSHROOMS on the down movement! I use wild clay from our field, and it would laugh at one handed centering. 😭
*Laughed in one handed centering*
