My stepfather was actually in the army with Elvis. Elvis never kept his pay he gave the guys in his barrack his pay. We have several pictures of Elvis in the Army and pictures of Elvis with my stepfather. I told my stepdad those pictures are probably worth some money, but he said it was a part of his life he doesn't care to part with.

When I was a child she would play this for me and her and set up karaoke to play and sing along with....😭😭😭😭 Things will never be the same and this memory will be frozen in time forever. My Dad would always play this when we go on car rides together and I never appreciated it as much as I do now at the age of 30. Such an amazing song. Every time I listen to it, he crosses my mind. He's going strong at 70, hope he continues to live a meaningful life 🙏🖤

I remember my grandma crying when she would be drunk and stoned in her low income apartment…. She grew up poor and never had much but made the best of everything.. today is her birthday. She would be 68 today… on the 23rd is my bday and the day we buried her. 5 days after her birthday… I felt the need to wake up this morning and listen to this for her. I know she’s around. It just hurts so badly that I can’t hug her anymore. I miss and love you so much grandma. I’m going to be 32 this year and I wish you were here to celebrate with me like you were all them years as a kid… ❤😢

This song reminds me of my father also. When I was a kid I would go on my father's delivery job on weekends. This was in the early 80s. This song seemed to play every time I was in the car with him. So now whenever I hear it, it reminds me of him.

I am a 16 year old who in my childhood never knew about elvis and I wish I did. I saw in movies him singing and even took a picture of his car in a museum but was so oblivous, i still didint know who he was. I have heard his christmas songs tho when i was little. Blue christmas is my fav. Anyway, since i watched the elvis movie i am in love. I know why so many people love him and still do. " im 40 now and no one is going to remember me" , breaks my heart because he is such an angel and has a gift from god and he is an idol. Ofc hes going to be known. @asurlybarber3620 A small correction. It was Elvis final nr 1 hit in the USA Billboard top 100 anno 1969 but not in the rest of the world. For ex in 1970 Elvis had a nr 1 in UK with The wonder of you, in Belgium he had a nr 1 hit with Burning Love and even in 1974 with My Boy. And even with his death Way Down was also a nr 1 in UK. To be honest I like all his songs because Elvis is the most versatile singer ever but if people ask me what song makes me really crazy then I answer Jailhouse rock.

Sorry for your loss. My dad was a big Elvis fan. Dad passed in March this year and I think of him when I hear Elvis. My mom took me to see Elvis in concert when I was 12. She passed in May 2018. Miss her too.
