So nice to read your messages. This is a song I wrote back in 1989. My back-up singers are Becky and Sonya Isaacs. "Everything has it's Season" was first released on my CD "Worship You" which can be found on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify etc. Peace, Solveig.

Hello Solveig, i hope that is your Christian name, I have been led to your music by a freind of mine who is a schizophrenic and has found great healing and inspiration in your music. My family is going through a great deal of trouble at this time we seem to be going through a season where close family members are all dying, my wife and i both our parent have died now my wifes only brother passed away a few days before Christmas most of the remaining family have serious health issues. I myself have serious mental health issues and rest and sleep and peace seem but a distant memory yet in the really tormented moments of the night before last this song spoke to my heart. Thank you very much for taking some of the fears away

This song is so impressive, and goes so deep, i keep listening via Spotify, but also watch You Tube recordings. "Leaning on the everlasting arms" from 2012 is such an earworm as well. Any time you do Hymns a little differently it makes them new and fresh again, just what we all need once in a while.

Solveig Leithaug, you are EXCEEDINGLY gifted musically -- a creative and quite original song -- stunning -- your (God's) music moves me, and as always happens when I am moved musically, the love and the tears come. Ecclesiastes sometimes makes for "tough" lyrics (hard for us to hear), but lyrics that we need to hear and internalize. A lovely sensitive and moving song -- as a pianist and songwriter, my hat is off to you for this one -- a VERY special song. God Bless You (again in the future, as he already obviously has in the past).

I've been wanting to play by ear, but it won't be the same as if I have the right notes on paper. God bless you immensely. Love your music and sweet voice.

spring comes after winter after all , the farmer gets his harvest in fall , he who sets the , time and sets the beat , gives us time to sew and time to reap
he endures who wants to win the prize, children fall asleep to lullaby s, he who sets the time and sets the beat gives us time to fight and to sleep
a season for dancing , season for crying
a season for living , and theres also a season for dying
everything has its time , has its time
many girls prepare to be a bride , hope and wait for someone at her side , soon the tiredness and wedding feast begins and the groom will be there king of kings, but yet there is a
a season for dancing , a season for crying , a season for living , but theres also a season for dying
everything has its time , has its time
a season for dancing , a season for crying a season for living
but theres also a season for dying
    everything has its time ooh
    has its time

Takk for masse fin musikk.

To Solveig Leithaug, with all due respect,
May I comment about your song? While I have listened to
hundreds of Christian gospel songs on youtube for more than a decade, your song presents incorrectly as being a Christian melody. Let me explain, please....read all of my complaint and you will understand why I am offended by your efforts in this particular recording.
The very theme of this song's words, indeed, comes from
"Ecclesiastes", one of three books that Solomon wrote in the Bible. "Ecclesiastes" is simply a Fatalistic viewpoint of life called Fatalism. Fatalism is also the viewpoint of the Buddhism religion and it's actually the viewpoint of Satanism. All of the pagan polytheistic religions use Fatalism for their doctrine and belief; they have little or no religion and only delight in sensual pleasures and material goods; they are irreligious and hedonistic.
Solomon also wrote "Proverbs" (the wisdom of Solomon), and he wrote "Song of Solomon" (the love of Solomon) but "Ecclesiastes" is a dramatic autobiography of Solomon's life when he got away from God!
The word "Ecclesiastes" means philosopher or preacher, and I rather like the term 'philosopher' here better than preacher. It's so important to see the purpose of this book to get the correct understanding of it; but it is being misunderstood, and has been misunderstood, by a very large number of people, Christians and nonbelievers all over the world since it was first written sometime between 970 and 931 BC. It's a book about human philosophy, aside from and excluding God.
There's certainly no reasonable explanation, among conservative Bible expositors, as to why this book was ever written in the first place, and, especially, why was it ever put in the Bible to begin with, except for the fact that David's son, Solomon, was the author of it.
In "Ecclesiastes", God showed Solomon, the wisest man, that he was a fool in God's sight. In the book of "Job", God shows Job, a righteous man, that he was a sinner in God's sight.
There are many statements in "Ecclesiastes" that you and I are going to find that will contradict other statements in Scripture. Actually, it almost frightens us to know that this book has been (and is) the favorite of atheists and they quote from it profusely! The cynic and those who are critical will find it appropriate to quote from "Ecclesiastes". It's also quite interesting to know that a very large number of cults use passages from this book and then present all of them entirely out of context and give them an entirely wrong meaning!
Mankind has tried to be happy without God, and "Ecclesiastes" shows the absurdity of that attempt.
